I have around 5.0 years of professional experience in the field of structural analysis, design, detailing and construction of off-shore platforms and steel structures. Conversant with various software packages like SACS, STAAD pro, Finite element software, SESAM, Patran, DNV buckling software and MS Office. Also conversant with major international codes like API, AISC, MITS, JIS and BS Codes of Practice.

• In-place Analysis: Modeling, generation of environmental, and gravity loads, PSI input file generation, code check w.r.t API & AISC.

o Transportation: Based on Noble Denton criteria, generation of inertial loads, design of sea-fasteners.
o Offshore lift: Based on API requirements. Design of Padeye.

Project Description
Scerabio-8 is saipem’s own semisubmesrible platform under construction. The hull and upto Maindeck MOSS MARITIME has done. And the Top sides has been carried out in Saipem Sharjah engineering office.

Responsibilities

• FEM modeling using Patran Pre and analysis using SESTRA and post processing in Xtract.
• Secondary design has been carried out by me using FEM package and confident in analysis by
FEM package SESAM.
• Secondary equipment design is carried out till now and this project continues till the April 2008.


PRAPOSAL: SAUDI ARAMCO

Project Description
There is a proposal MTO has to be carried out for saudi aramco well head platfroms.

Responsibilities

Involved in the MTO preparation and compiling.


Structural Engineer – Civil/Structural
(Maersk Oil Qatar, Deputed from Technip- Abudhabi
From Aug-2006 to Mar-2007)

PROJECT: BLOCK-5 DEVELOPMENT PROJECT -2005

Project Description

Maersk Oil Qatar has planned to develop Al-Shaheen field in the name of Block-5 development project . BD,GA,HA & IA are the 4-well head platform, for which test production manifold has to be placed at +14.00 Level. This is the temporary structure used for test production for about 8 months to 24 months. The task force of Technip is sitting in the Maersk Oil Qatar & executing the Job for Maersk Oil Qatar.

Responsibilities

• Involved in the conceptual design of the structural framing.
• Guiding 2 PDS designers & co-coordinating with all disciplines & client.
• The skid weights around 220MT including all disciplines weight. The conceptual design has been carried out.
• In-place & Lift analysis of structural skid & also secondary structure design.
• Checking the feasibility for lifting. Discussion with clients & other disciplines.
• Weight Report compilation & working in accordance with the client requirements.
• DCI/MCI, Man-hour estimation/control, orgonogram

Structural Engineer – Civil/Structural
(Technip-Abu Dhabi from Nov-2005 to Aug-2006)

PROJECT : AKPO-FPSO TOPSIDES

Project Description
Total Upstream Nigeria is the client for AKPO FPSO project. Technip France was doing Hull design & offloaded topside 9-Modules to Technip Abu Dhabi along with 5 piperack. Design Basis & design brief has been provided by the Technip France.
Detail engineering is carried out for the above FPSO topsides. 4 Modules on starboard side and 5 modules on port side in-between pipe rack. I am one of the 12 member structural engineer team in this project.

Responsibilities.
• Involved in the detail secondary beam design, pipe support design and equipment support design.
• Involved in Inplace/Lift/Transportation/Blast analysis of 2 Pipe rack.
• Involved in AFC revision of P-6 Module Lift/Transportation & Blast Analysis.
• From Nov-2005 to July-2006 involved in the FPSO project in all phases of documents.

L&T – VALDEL ENGINEERING PVT. LTD

PROJECT : SH- COMPLEX RE-CONSTRUCTION PROJECT

Project Description
ONGC has planned to revamp one of their existing complex (SH-Complex) in Mumbai high south. The scope of work includes Deck modifications & other minor structural modifications in process platform, gas platform, LQ, Well head & water injection platform. It also comprises a new walkway bridge between LQ and Process Platform, and raising of an existing helideck by 4-mts.

This job has been interesting owing to the emphasis on the installation philosophy, and it’s uniqueness w.r.t the approach adapted. I am primarily responsible for the design of the installation aids, and analysis for raising of the helideck. In addition to this, I have also designed the bridge (38m long) . Since, this bridge was to be installed with the aid of the deck crane, this posed a strong challenge. The bridge had to be light, yet stiff.

Responsibilities
• Pre-engineering survey of about 15 days in complex to study the existing condition.
• Meeting (Kick-off),co-ordination, with Client & their parties.
• Preparation of Design basis.
• Co-ordination with one junior engineer, 2 designer & lead engineer for smooth progress of the project.
• Preparation of design basis, DCI/MCI, Man-hour estimation/control, orgonogram.
• Deck extensions are modeled with existing deck with nearest leg & analyzed in Inplace conditions. Prepared deck modification report along with minor design calculations for 5-platform.
• All 49 deliverables along with 5 documents have been compiled & checked.
• Bridge Inplace analysis have been carried out & also according to helideck lifting scheme from client LQ roof have been strengthened to take vertical load & guide arrangement along with tie-wires details have been worked out arrest lateral instability.
• Preparation of MTO.
• For all these documents & drawings EIL has approved.

PROJECT : PH-PJ&STD WELL HEAD PROJECT

Project Description
British gas planned to install 3 new well head platform in Panna field PH,PJ & STD. These 3 well heads are ‘4+4’ foundation system with a main deck and cellar deck to accommodate various equipment. In addition to this it also have a building module integrated with a helideck.

Responsibilities
As a part of detail engineering involved in the load calculation of Jacket & Deck for all the three platform. Including all environmental & gravity loads.

PROJECT : RAVA FIELD DEVELOPMENT PROJECT

Project Description
Crain Energy have planned to put additional 3 conductors & well head maintenance for RA,RB,RD,RC,RE & RF. These are old platform due to jack-up rig & new soil data with erosion in sea bed about 2 mts. The existing well head stiffness has to be checked.

Responsibilities
• Modeling the existing jacket & Topside.(Shallow water)
• All environmental & gravity load calculation.
• PSI input data with soil strata taking erosion of 2 mts for mudmat.
• Inplace analysis with PSI & substructure attached to check the base shear at pile head joint.
• Similar exercise has been conducted for other 4 platforms.
• DNV certified this job accordingly for all the 5 platforms.

PROJECT : 2-CLAMP - ON

Project Description
ONGC have planned to add additional 3 clamp on conductors to existing 2 well head platform.

Responsibilities
Carried out pre-engineering survey for 10 days. Involved in Inplace analysis of 3 conductors attached to existing frame. Preparation of RFQ for rubber fenders.

PROJECT : MSP TRANSPORTATION PROJECT

Project Description
Kawasaki heavy industries has taken up installation of MSP process platform installation in Mumbai high with the engineering done by SHI Korea. PGC & BGC topside structure & transportation of the same has offloaded to L&T-VALDEL.

Responsibilities
Conversion of STAAD model of deck to SACS model with appropriate load calculation. Transportation analysis was done with Noble Denton criteria for large barge carrying 2 modules PGC & BGC trains. Pseudo-dynamic analysis was carried out with combining static load & dynamic load generated by roll, pitch & heave condition of barge. SHI has reviewed the job.

PROJECT : PS-2/3 LIVING QUARTERS & POWER UP-GRADE PROJECT

Project Description
‘Qatar Petroleum’ planned to install a new living quarter in their Bul Hanine & Maydan Mazham fields. The scope of work includes installation of 2 new living quarter platforms (new deck – 2 levels + existing LQ (3 levels) replaced from PS-3G/2G), 4 bridges and a bridge connecting tripod. Besides this switchgear deck (2 Levels) in the place of LQ.

Responsibilities
Equipment support calculation for all the equipments in 2G/3G/2J with considering seismic acceleration in to account. All access platform design check in SACS. And MTO run for all the platforms.

Project Description

GFO - MTO for N9 & N10 for both topside & substructure.

PROJECT: ANALYSIS & DESING OF AIRCRAFT(HANSA-4) ENGINE MOUNT

Project Description
NAL is a aerospace research center. It has planned for 4-seater light weight (with composites) flight called Hansa-4. The engine was procured from France but the mount which is connected to fuselage is designed in NAL.

Responsibilities
Engine mount is 3D frame which base is connected to aircraft with bolt connection & engine will be mounted on this mount along with propeller. Due to dynamic movement of propeller the engine mount will go under vibration. I have done FEM model in FEMAP (Finite element package) & analyzed for both static & dynamic in NASTRAN. The results were reviewed by HEAD & report of the same is submitted.
