Senior Operation Geologist Nov 2003 - present
Responsible for working closely with project geologists and drilling team / engineers to plan the well locations, drilling programmes, formation evaluation programmes and well trajectories for the directional wells.
• Coordinating with the drilling team for implementation of the drilling program.
• Supervise and coordinate with the wellsite geologists and logging companies, on wellsite evident wireline logging operations, including MDT operations, coring operations and carry out wellsite core description. perform quick log analysis,
• After the well completion, prepare composite log and well correlations and well completion report.
• Coordinate with the joint venture partners’ operations department if required.
• In Sawan development drilling campaign help drilling team to reduce the drilling time from 55days to 35-42 days by batter planning in Middle Indus basin in Pakistan.

Responsible for analysing, evaluating and describing formations while drilling using cuttings, gas, and wireline data; comparing data gathered during drilling with predictions made at exploration stage;
• Advise operations personnel on site and in operations office; identify lithostratigraphic formation boundaries, casing setting depths and coring points; calling for coring on shows and gas; advising on drilling hazards and drilling bit optimization;
• Responsible for making decisions about suspending or continuing drilling in coordination with the exploration team.
• Supervising mudlogging and wireline services personnel, monitoring quality control in relation to mudlogging and wireline services, keeping detailed records and writing reports undertaking evaluation of offset data before beginning drilling.
• Liaising with drilling engineers, petroleum engineers and mudloggers; training staff as required; acting in effect, as the representative of the geology team; ensuring transmission of logs and reports to the management and to the joint venture partners.

Responsible for monitoring daily progress of well operations and current daily costs.
• Comparing actual costs with cost expenditure proposals and recommending changes or improvements to rig work techniques which could lead to optimisation of expenditure;
• Liaising with specialist contractors; monitoring safety continuously and ensuring good maintenance of the well; ensuring adherence to environmental protection standards, in some cases through direct discussion with local governments to ensure compliance with legislative requirements; establishing and
