I am seeking an international position, preferably on a 1:1 rotating schedule. I have 10 plus years of marine experience as Deck Officer, Senior Officer and Ballast Control Operator of numerous deep sea cargo ships types (Container, RORO, General Cargo, Bulk Carrier) and the offshore units (Semi-Sub Pipelay barge, Semi-Sub crane and pipelay DP 3 vessel, mono hull crane and pipelay vessel, PSV, survey DP1 vessel, Tension Leg Platform with drilling rig).

Production Ballast Control Room Operator
• Monitoring and adjusting tendon tension by means of ballast
• Controlling stability, ballasting while skidding the rig, loading, off-loading drilling bulk and fluids
• Operating Control Room computers working with Delta-V PCS software
• Recovering and restarting platform systems and opening wells after S/D
• Monitoring fire control system, detectors and pressure on fire ring
• Monitoring and operating utilities all around the rig depending on situation (air compressors, sea water pumps, nitrogen compressor, chemical injection, heli-fuel, hypochlorine generator, hi-press. washdown, power gensets, etc.)
• Monitoring riser tensionners pressure
• Operating liquid and bulk loading systems
• Regular valve integrity tests, versa valve tests, fire system periodical and annual DNV inspection (by-passing follow cause and effect charts)
• Monitoring via cameras and radar platform and its surrounding
• Controlling traffic within 500 metres, radio communication with PCV’s and other facilities around
• In charge of CCR and communication during emergency (drills, black-out, shut-down, etc.)
• Unit operator in computer based permit to work system, monitoring expiry of permits and temporary defeats
• IPES – maintenance system – making notifications about new defects
