Currently serving as a Second Officer Systems Engineer with the RFA. My roles involve the maintenance and repair of all electrical/ electronic systems on board the ships, ranging from High Voltage (6.6KV) electric propulsion systems, power generation and distribution through to radars, gyros and communications equipment. Since joining the RFA I have served on four of the newer high technology vessels in the RFA and as a result have gained experience in integrated platform management systems and PLC control systems.

After leaving the Royal Navy and whilst waiting to join the Royal Fleet Auxiliary I was employed as a Consultant dealing with Reliability and Maintainability Engineering, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis and Reliability Centred Maintenance Analysis. I was heavily involved in a technical study into the reliability of the Lynx Helicopter GEM engine.
