I have worked in the oil and gas industry for the last couple of years and want to continue this by gaining more experience in the north sea and also trying to gain more experience throughout the world to gain experience with different cultures and work methods. I have also had good working relationships with my peers and always tried to learn wherever possible as that is a key to being successful.

In the past two years i have gained vital experience in working in the oil and gas industry as i have worked in the north sea. The rigs i have worked on were new hook ups onto existing rigs where i worked on the construction phase then the commissioning phase where the Ex inspections took place before the equipment was turned on.

I served my apprenticeship with a company in Glasgow from july 2000 til july 2004. I continued to work for the company for two years after i served my time then moved with various companies in the west of scotland to get experience.I then completed my offshore training in Aberdeen along with my Compex course.I firstly worked with Amec oil and Gas in the north sea on two different installations, the Buzzard platform and the Britsat hook-up on the britania platform.
I moved to work for a company in the southern sector of the north sea on a hook up in the INDE 23 Alpha platform.

I studied computing at high school so i can run various programs from word processing programs to spreadsheets and using them to my full advantage to make them work for me and make my job easier

In my last job offshore i worked as a working chargehand with a small squad working under me so i was expected to delegate work and as we were the nightshift crew i had to remedy problems that arose during the night and use my problem solving skills.
