I wish to register myself with your company in order to gain a position of employment. In addition to holding a current Class 1 Certificate and having served as Master for six years I have extensive previous experience of operating tankers ranging from product carriers through to VLCCs. I am equally comfortable dealing with management, customer or work face issues and am able to motivate staff to achieve.

I have spent over 20 years at sea on tankers with six years as Cheif Officer and six years as Master on product carriers to VLCC's.
Additionally I have been seconded into shore positions with BP Shipping including working as Marine Audit Superintendent responsible for auditing BP and third party marine terminals and business centres worldwide. I have also worked as an Emergency Response Advsior where I was responsible for the training of shore staff in emergency reponse principles. I have also undertaken roles in Marine Operations with responsibility for BP owned vessels and in Ship Vetting where I was required to assess vessels for use by the BP Group.
More recently I have been the Terminal Operations Manager for PBI where I have been responsible for the marine input into the design, construction and commissioning of a storage and supply terminal in Portland Dorset. Following completion I was responsible for recruiting the operations staff and then writing and implementing the operating procedures, emergency response pland and permit to work systems.
