| 1. Summary (Cover Letter) - CV/Resume Part 1 [Mandatory] |
Dear Prospective Employer:
I would like to apply with your company for the position as Captain where I can use my skills and previous oilfield experience to help you obtain your company’s mission. The enclosed resume will furnish you with complete information concerning my background and capabilities.
I am seeking an international position, on a rotating schedule. I have almost 30 years of oilfield experience in 4 different countries and have hands on experience on operating, maneuvering, and training on crew boats, supply boats, lift boats and semi-submersibles.

| 2. Work Experience - CV/Resume Part 2 [Mandatory] |
Work History:
1996-Present Schlumberger Drilling Services: Barge Engineer Trainee on the Sedco 700 Semi-Submersible Drilling Rig off the Coast of Congo, Africa. Duties included: QHSE, daily stability calculations, checking all the life saving equipment, preventive maintenance for the Barge Department which included valves, tanks, cranes, winches, davits, lifeboats, and other related items. Weekly fire drills, man overboard drills, abandon ship drills, safety meetings.
Then Schlumberger transferred me to a shipyard in New Orleans to assist in the new build construction of 3 Self-Propelled Lift Boats which were the original Dixie rigs except these had a mast and cantilever added on. These rigs were built by SEMCO Shipyard in Lafitte, Louisiana. Duties included: Daily meetings and liaison with the Engineers, shipyard workers, and operations department. I also assisted in writing parts of the Marine Operation Manual for the Marine Department and then when the Barges were sent down to Lake Maracaibo, Venezuela I assisted in setting up each rig on their first job and I have trained over 25 National Captains on how to safely maneuver and position these rigs in Lake Maracaibo where there is an excess of 10,000 oil wells. No one here had any experience whatsoever in these types of rigs and we had to position the rigs at a precise distance and offset on each well which are 22-25 feet away from the wells and offset +/- 5 feet. We had to scale down the original 50 x 30 foot pads to 30 x 30 to work here because of the enormous amount of pipelines they have lying on the bottom of the lake. I made numerous night moves as well in this congested lake in the beginning of the Prisa Project working for PDVSA.
The 3 rigs are moving on an average of every 3-5 days so I travel from rig to rig training and assisting the national Captains and average between 15-18 rig moves in my 28 day rotation. I am the only expat Captain they have working here. Duties on the rig include: QHSE, moving the rigs to onto and off the old locations and on to the new locations, daily stability, monthly preventive maintenance, drills, environmental issues, budgeting, ordering parts, writing up procedures, safety meetings and getting the National Captains ready to be stand alone.
1991-1996 Power Offshore Services: Captain on a 180 foot Self-Propelled Lift Barge. Duties included Training the Crane Operator, preventive maintenance, drills, budgeting expenses, ordering spare parts, liaison for the company with whoever was contracted out for the job. Moving the rig from different ports in Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi and Alabama to offshore platforms.
1985-1991 N.F. McCall Boat Rentals: Captain on a 150’ Quad-Screw Crew boat servicing the oilfields in the Gulf Of Mexico. Duties including preventive maintenance, drills, safety, and liaison for the company. Maneuvering the boat from different docks to offshore platforms.
1980-1985 Haliburton Special Services: Captain on a Lift boat in the Gulf of Mexico and then was transferred to Trinidad & Tobago as a Captain on a Lift boat there. Duties included training the National Captain, drills, safety meeting, preventive maintenance, ordering parts from the USA, budgeting, and company liaison.
1978-1980 N.F. McCall Boat Rentals: Deckhand, engineer, wheelman and Chief Mate on Utility Boats and Crew Boats. Duties included working in the engine room on engines for preventive maintenance, radar observer, painting, and drills and boat maneuvers.
