I started my career (15 yrs experience) offshore with Sedco Forex, a Schlumberger group of companies as an electrician on their drill ship and later worked as an electrical officer with Univan Ship Management and finally OMI Corp. Inc. I have the necessary theoretical knowledge and hands on experience on all kinds of electrical and electronic circuitry including pneumatics controls, relay logic, plcs. to SCADA & DCS systems. I also have experience with Offshore & Marine Instrumentation.
I have extensive experience with hands on repairs of all offshore & marine electrical/electronic equipment.
Besides I am familiar with recommendations laid down by the International Association of Classification Societies. (IACS) and also have shipyard supervision experience in Daewoo Shipyards Okpo. South Korea.
In Canada I have worked as a Construction Manager with the Project Management Group in SNC Lavalin, supervising various construction jobs for their clients Bell Canada. in the Greater Toronto Area.. I have also worked for MacViro Consultants for their clients The City of Toronto.
I possess Health & Safety and Supervisor’s certificate provided by the Construction and Safety Association of Ontario, Canada.
I am a Graduate Electrical Engineer and also a Licensed Electrician (Canadian Red Seal, Interprovincial) and also possess a Fire Alarm Technology Certificate. With my background and extensive experience, I feel I would contribute positively towards the growth of your organization.

To secure a position as a Marine Construction Supervisor, Electrical Engineer or an E&I Supervisor on an FPSO.

SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS:
• Construction Management in Electrical projects for SNC Lavalin Nexacor, MacViro Consultants and OMI corp.USA.(Daewoo Shipyard, Okpo Korea)
• Site Supervision, Inspection & Certification, Pre-Design planning, Specification, Start-up and Commissioning
• Responsibilities also covered Project Management tenet of Time, Scope & Money and the project’s progress claim & monthly draw of payment to the contractor/s.
• Enforcing Clients and the Ministry of Labor’s Safety Regulations & policies on job site.
• Chairing of Construction Meetings and negotiation with contractors, clients and approval authorities.
• Worked on Drill ships for 3 years and familiar with offshore oil rigs operating & safety practices.
• Around 15 yrs experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, plc controls, standby power generation and electrical process control circuits (Instrumentation) in the Offshore Oil & Gas & marine industry.
• Good experience working under pressure, tight time constraints and in hazard-prone environment. Also experienced with Life and Safety equipment.
• Knowledge of Electrical Ship design & Construction practice.
• Good knowledge of Canadian Electrical code, USCG, IACS, DNV and ABS rules & regulations.

EMPLOYMENT EXPERIENCE

AGNI FIRE & SAFETY Project Manager August 2006-Feb 2008
• Job responsibilities are conducting Fire Alarm and Sprinkler Inspections in the GTA for Property Managements and certifying the worthiness of the same.
• Installations of new Fire Alarm systems, supply of extinguishers, emergency lighting and other safety products for the clients.
• Training clients in evacuation procedures and correct operation and proper handling of life safety equipment; also responsible for making fire safety plans for different buildings.

SNC LAVALIN NEXACOR Construction Manager April 2005-August 2006
• Worked with the electrical project management group in SNC Lavalin Nexacor as a Construction Manager. (Major client was Bell Canada)
• Projects ranged from $1.6 million to $4.5 million
• Projects were like cooling tower replacement, generator installation, HVAC upgrade, Fire Alarm Installation & upgrade etc.
• Communicated between Consultants contractors and clients.
• Started the projects, brought in consultants, conducted tender walks, chaired start-ups & subsequent site meetings and enforced SNC Lavalin’s construction policy till the closure of the project.
• Followed up the construction activities and ensured that contractors’ abide to the projects’ scope, time and specifications.
• Brought old projects, which had cost and time over-runs, to a much needed close
• Supervised construction work in critical Bell Buildings; ensured that there was no down time of the Bell Network; issued threat tickets and followed Specific Methods of Procedures (Bell Canada Policy); involved in interfacing with the clients, reviewing specifications, drawings and subsequent closure of the project.

MACVIRO GENIVAR: Site Inspector Nov 2002-March 2005
• Worked with MacViro Consultants as Site Inspector for the City of Toronto administering over $8.6M of capital infrastructure works.
• Project involved installing new PLC controlled, Process Control System (PCS) at water treatment plants in Toronto;
• Responsibilities included Construction Management, Site Supervision, Health and Safety, Review and approve contractors progress claim, Safety Orientation, enforce Ministry of Labour and the City Safety Standards and Active Liaison between the City of Toronto and the Contractors;
• Chaired construction coordination meetings, coordinated field inspections by design team. Witnessed testing and Generate deficiency list for the client.
• The designs being as built, active communication was carried out between the City Personnel, who were consulted, to determine the desired control system philosophy and equipment to be installed; drawings were revised detailing existing removals and new installations; all this construction activity was carried out without the plants being shutdown.
SIMPLEXGRINNELL: Technical Representative Jan 2001-Nov 2002
• Responsibilities involved installation, service and annual inspections of the Fire Alarm System in accordance with CAN/ULC-S536-M97 in major buildings in the Greater Toronto Area
• Simplex panels are the state-of the- art intelligent addressable networks.
• Annual tests and inspections were performed on Major Buildings in the GTA and the fire & life safety equipment was subsequently certified.
GENKOH: Technical Representative Jan 2000-Dec 2000
• Conducted service & commissioning and semi-annual inspection of Emergency Generators as per CSA C282 1977.
• Clients included schools, office buildings, and manufacturing industries in the GTA.
• Tests included simulating electrical failure and performing load transfer test, checking proper operation of transfer switch and performing annual load test.
• On site trouble shooting and repair of mechanical as well as electrical problems.
OMI CORP, CT, USA: Senior Electrical Officer 1997-2000
• Worked as a Senior Electrical Officer and was responsible for the maintenance of all Electrical, Electronic and Electro-Mech devices under the Chief Engineer.
• Part of a team stationed in South Korea, Okpo to oversee construction and take delivery of new ships from Daewoo Shipyard in S. Korea.
• Responsibilities included inspection and subsequent submission of a report to the team leader for Electro-Mechanical & Electrical Installations, ensuring that specifications are met and acceptance of various Electrical or Electro/Mechanical Machineries on board viz: Engine Automation, Power Generators, Hydraulics, Boilers, HVAC, Refrigeration, all electrical and electro-mechanical equipment associated with Engines, Boilers, Generators, HVAC, Turbines and Pumps.

UNIVAN SHIP MANAGEMENT: Senior Electrical Officer 1989-1997

• Worked as an Electrical Officer and had a good experience with old poorly maintained ships and maintenance on a limited budget.
• Worked extensively on marine switchgear, main engine controls, generator controls, radar and other electrical & electronic circuits.
• Worked as a shore Electrician and addressed problem when ships were close to the Indian coast.

SEDCO FOREX: Electrician 1986-1989
(A company within the Schlumberger group)

• Worked as an Electrician on their DP drill ship with a displacement of 17150 Short tonnes.
• Familiar with 2100 KW x 5 sets for main power and 1500 KW x 2 sets for ship service.
• Worked with DC power for propulsion, for thrusters and drill floor.
• Serviced Electro Hydraulic cranes, main line rated at 45 tonnes, whip line 5 tons.
• Hands on experience on various other Electro-Mechanical equipment typical on board an oil rig
• Knowledge off offshore operating procedures & safety practices in hazardous areas
