Experience/Skills

MARINE CHIEF ENGINEER

• Highly experienced in Tanker /LPG operations, shipbuilding & Management, Particular expertise in the handling & transhipment of multigrade Petroleum & liquefied gas products & crude.
• Highly experienced in rigs towing, pipe laying & anchor handling.
• Experience in shipboard management system, ISM, ISO & oil major auditing requirements.
• Gained extensive practical experience in dry docking for VLCC / LPG carriers & new delivery of Aframax product carrier.



EXPERIENCE IN LIQUEFIED GAS HANDLING
• The properties of liquefied gases.
• Ships equipment and Instrumentation.
• Personal health and safety
• Emergency procedures

Professional duties

• Ensure the safe & efficient operation & maintenance of entire ship’s machinery.
• The day to day planned operation & maintenance of ship’s machinery.
• Ensure vessels were operated & maintained safely in compliance with Class, SOLAS & MARPOL regulations.
• Carry out Classification surveys & prepare dry dock specifications
• carry out inspections of all safety & environmental protection equipment
• Carry out on board auditing & to monitor training of subordinates & engineer cadets.

Experience in operation, maintenance & overhauling of the following items.

• LPG compressors, type K160- 2A with max cooling capacity 300,000 k calories/h.
• R22 compressors, type SMC 8-180 with max cooling capacity 390,000 k calories/h.
• deep well cargo pumps, type guinard VHO-32 with rate 500 m3/h.
• Generators, type crepelle, wartisila, man & Daihatsu 1000 kw at 900 rpm.
• boilers, type sun rod CPDB 45, 4500 kg/hr at 6 kg/cm3, composite boiler with pressure 6 bar, cph-45 sun rod oil fired boilers 45000 kg/hr at 16 bar, IHI ADM 356, water tube boiler, evaporator rate 35 tons/hr with pressure 16 bar.
• Air compressors, type hamworthy, tamrock with pressure 30 bars.
• Pumps centrifugal, rotary, steam turbines, screw pumps, reciprocating & gear pumps."

Fully charge of operation & maintenance of various machinery.

• Alfa Laval evaporators (nirex) & atlas Denmark.
• Centrifugal pumps, different types of pumps, volcano incinerator.
• Vertical steam driven turbines for cargo pumps.
• Electric power station driven by steam turbine or diesel engine up to 16 mw.
• Main propulsion engine range between 5000 to 34000 bhp.
• Screw & reciprocating air compressors up to 35 bar delivery pressure.
• Familiar with pneumatic & electro pneumatic control system such “as levels, pressures, temperatures controllers."
• Inventory stock for spares, safety stocks, requisition orders…etc"
• Familiar with ISM." Metal & project planting control, critical path, normal line of balance, man hour & power calculation."

Working on various capacities up of marine Chief engineer on board crude, Product tanker & LPG owned & managed by Kuwait Oil tanker Co, a Subsidiary of Kuwait Petroleum Company.

From 1991 to Sept. 1995 with Unit Arab shipping Co.
Working on various capacities marine engineer on board on board container, General cargo ship owned & managed by Unit Arab shipping Co.

From 1988 to 1991 with Misr shipping co.
Working on various capacities marine engineer on board Bulk carriers owned & managed by Misr shipping co.
