COMSATS Institute of Information Technology is a degree awarding institute, established under the Presidential Ordinance having status of a University. Institute has been established under a record period of 2 months at the land donated by Pakistan Army. Institute grown up with a rapid growth rate and has more than 3000 students and 250 faculty members in six different departments and running Bachelor, Masters and PhD programs. COMSATS Institute of Information Technology has six campuses at Islamabad, Abbottabad, Lahore, Wah Cantt, Sahiwal and Attock and has the vision of further expansion.
Presently working as Manager Coordination & Planning. Job responsibilities include Coordination with all other campuses of CIIT as well as with Higher Education Commission and all other universities / institutions / organizations within and outside the country. All outgoing / incoming communications have to be routed through Coordination Office. Coordination of various departments within campus is also one of the tasks with coordination office.
Project preparation, submission to donor agencies and subsequent follow up for approval also rests with Coordination Department. As Head of Coordination Department has prepared and submitted a number of development projects upto the tune of Rs. 400 million for establishment of new departments at Campus as well as strengthening of present departments. Few of them have been completed and some are under implementation while some projects are in the process of approval with Higher Education Commission.
Overall Incharge of the Admission Cell established in each semester for admissions in all disciplines of Bachelor, Masters and Ph.D. programs. Complete administration of admission process commenced from publication of advertisement in newspapers and ends on submission of complete personal files of the students to Registrar Office for registration of admitted students.
Job responsibilities also include scheduling and arrangements of meetings at campus as well as higher level. Working as secretary of various academic and administrative committees, as Coordination Officer is a nominated secretary to all constituted committees includes Campus Selection Committee, Campus Management Committee, Campus Academic Regulatory Committee, Campus Disciplinary Committee etc.
Administered various mega events including International Conferences, Convocations, International Seminars and Workshops.
