ASL MARINE HOLDINGS LTD is a Singapore Public Listed Company owning more than 200 tugs and barges as well shipyards in Singapore, Batam Indonesia and China. I was the Admin Manager (Head of Admin Department) in the Chartering Division, oversees all the ship documents, negotiation for the sales and purchases of vessels (Middle East, China, Malaysia etc), inward and outward clarence of vessels etc. My reponsibilities include entertain clients - Van Oord, Boskalis, Dredging International, Maritime Port Authorities Port Master etc.

Singapore Offshore Petroleum Services Pte Ltd (Toll Asia) is a Supply Offshore Base (55 hectres) with more than 200 Offshore Companies and a jetty. I am the Operation Manager (Head of Operation Department) in charge of deployment of equipment and planning the allocation of berths for vessels calling the jetty. I am also in charge of quotes for different projects in the base (eg Oil Rig, Drill Ships, Cable Laying Vessels, Supply Boats etc) and as well as overseas (US Navy calling at our Cambodia Base - Shinanoville). I have expanded my network to offshore companies like Seadrill, Technip Subsea 7, Cal Dive, Japan Drilling, Seacor Marine, PGS etc.

Job Scope
•Manage the daily operation in Loyang Offshore Supply Base (55 hectre) as well as Loyang Jetty
•Supervise and deploy the whole operation department consist of more than 100 operation personnel and 3 operation executives
•Plan the deployment of the cranes, trailers, prime movers and forklifts in the Base and Jetty.
•Plan the allocation of berths for vessels calling to Loyang Jetty (based on the length overall of vessels, arrival draft and the job scope)
•Prepare Capital Expenditure Reports
•Prepare Weekly Debtors Report
•Prepare Budget Report for Operation Department
•Approve the quotations for rental of 3rd Party cranes, trailers, prime movers and forklifts
•Quote for individual projects such as Oil Rig, Drill Ship, Cable Laying Vessels, Freighters, US Navy projects in Overseas Base etc
•Involve in Monthly Management Meeting and address issues raised by Managing Director
•Approve Invoices / Purchase Request
•Host Monthly Happy Hour in the Base for clients and tenants
•Entertain Clients

•Put forward a proposal to improve the workflow of Ship-Chartering Department and have the recommendations implemented
•In charge of revamping the Corporate Marketing Brochure and Advertisements
•Set up a Social Recreational Committee to organise events for co-workers and is appointed as Chairman

•Work closely with the Group Legal Manager to prepare Contracts for Sale and Purchase of Vessels
•Prepare Bill of Sales and other handover documents etc
•Involve in Monthly Management Meeting and address issues raised by Directors
•Involve in Budget Planning
•Liaise with Advertisement Agencies on Marketing Brochures and Advertisements
•Source for Companies on Corporate Diary and Tide Calendar
•Oragnise functions such as Annual Dinner & Dance, Chinese New Year Lunch, Vessels’ Christening etc.
•Check invoices on Coal Shipment in East Kalimantan, Indonesia.
•Station in Samarinda and Balikpapan, Indonesia for 2 weeks to gain knowledge of the Coal Transportation Operation.
•Put forward solutions to rectify overlooking of billings
•Bring clients to view vessels
