Karabatan Oil Treatment Plant (Atyrau) - Kazakhstan
Kashagan Project

Responsibilities:
º Activity in the Engineering Department as Electrical Engineer. Updating the existing drawings according with which has been done in the field and with the new instructions from the designer.
º Maintaining an accuracy situation of the already used materials in the construction activity and estimating of the necessary materials to continue the next steps of projects, according with the primary list.
º Commissioning activity for the already built objectives (Power Plant – 4 ’’General Electric’’ Gas Turbine Generators – 30 MVA, and the rest of chemistry installations)
and punch-list clearance then necessary in cooperation with the each responsible subcontractor.
º Responsible for Fire Water Sistem (regarding Electrical & Instrumentation), and
Heat Tracing Systems for all Utility Area.


•Period: 13 March 2009 – 17 July 2009
Position: Project Engineer
Company & Location: TARGET Engineering Construction CO Ltd.
Qatar – Doha Water treatment Plant

Responsibilities:
º Coordination of the Electrical Department.
º Reporting directly to Project Manager, involved in manage all the specific activities for Construction, Mechanical Completion, Commissioning and Start up for
the electrical part of a very big Water Preparation Plant. That means High Voltage Transformers (132/11 kV), High Voltage and Low Voltage Switch Gears, DC supply, HVAC, Electrical Motors for pumps, Normal and Emergency Lighting System.
º Prepare the site instructions for the above activities.
º Maintain the drawings according with the situation from the field.
º Keep strong relationship with the client and the contractors.


•Period: 19 May 2008 – 23 December 2008
Position: Electrical Engineer
Company & Location: Bergesen Worldwide Offshore (BW Offshore),
Skøyen (Oslo) – Norway
Offshore Project TUPI - FPSO

Responsibilities:

oElectrical Installations Design, for an offshore project. That supposes an improving of the existing Power Generation System and Power Distribution System, for an FPSO vessel.
oPerformed Red Mark drawings for 690V System and 440V System, always than necessary.
oCoordination between the electrical and instrument items.
oPreparing the installation procedures for the new installed items on the vessel.
o Involved for 5 weeks in preparing of the job scope for all Electrical and Instrument items which will represent the transforming activity for a new FPSO Vessel called TUPI, and which is located in Singapore.
Worked in Singapore, in Keppel Shipyard site, since 25 of June 2008.
As Site Electrical Supervisor, being an interface between BW Offshore and Keppel Shipyard, ready to manage all the activities regarding the Electrical Department.
The Tupi vessel has been in Singapore more than 6 months. A very big part of process have been changed. Old modules have been removed to allow the installation of others new.
All the installation of the electrical equipment were my responsibility.


•Period: 03 March 2008 – 10 April 2008
Position: Senior Electrical Engineer
Company & Location: Grenland Group Technology,
Sandefjord – Norway
Offshore Project MPU-HL
(Multi Purpose Unit – Heavy Lift)

Responsibilities:

oElectrical Installations Design, for an offshore project. That supposes an improving of the existing Power Generation System and Power Distribution System, for an MPU-HL ship.
oPerformed Red Mark drawings for 690V System and 440V System, always than necessary.
oCoordination between the electrical and instrument items.
oVerification of all the drawings already done before to be there, and modifications then necessary.
oChecking all the written procedures regarding operation and maintenance plans for the Electrical and Instrument departments. Done modifications then necessary.
oPrepared reports for all the activities done, to be submitted to the staff of Grenland Group Technology Company.


•Period: March 2007 – March 2008
Position: Senior Electrical Engineer
Company & Location: Aibel UK Ltd, Billingstad - Norway
Alvheim FPSO Project
Responsibilities:

oElectrical Installations Design, for an offshore project. That supposes an improving of the existing Power Generation System and Power Distribution System, for an FPSO (Floating Production, Storage and Offloading) ship.
oPerformed Red Mark drawings for 11kV System, 690V System, 440V System, always than necessary.
oVerification of the drawings, and modifications then necessary.
oChecking procedures regarding operation and maintenance plans for the Electrical and Instrument departments. Done modifications then necessary.
oPrepared reports for all the activities done, to be submitted to the staff of Aibel Company.
oIt was necessary to be in Haugesund on the west coast, where it was performed the activity on the FPSO vessel, to collect data from the field, necessary for updating of the technical documentation.
oIt was also necessary to solve the problem of Explosion Proof Electrical equipment (certification, changed than necessary, make comments regarding the position of the equipment in the concerned Ex area, permanent contact with the manufacturer for solve each problem regarding Ex Equipment).
Actually, since 6 months that was my main task in the Alvheim Project.


•Period: Feb. 2006 – Nov. 2006
Position: Electrical / Instrument Supervisor
(Construction & commissioning)
Company & Location: Saipem Eni Group
Kashagan Project – D Island (Caspian Sea –
Kazakhstan)
Responsibilities:

oThis project have been on an artificial island in the middle of the north bay in Caspian se. There are two crude oil extraction rigs brought from Huston Texas for crude oil extraction.
oThe activity profile was Construction, pre-commissioning, punch listing, commissioning and start up of oil wells electrical / instrument equipment (including Electrical Generators and Motors, HVAC Systems, Electrical Switches of power centres, Electrical Power Transformers, lighting systems, communication systems, all types of transducers, interconnections of DCS, PLC, etc.)
o Short period of operation of the oil wells in drilling. As activity, responsible with the Emergency Diesel Generator, Main Diesel Generators (Caterpilar manufactured–2,5Mw/460V) Air Compressors and HVAC System operation.


•Period: Dec. 2004 – Dec. 2005
Position: Electrical / Instrument Technician
(Construction & commissioning)
Company & Location: Saipem Eni Group
Western Libya Gas Project – Sabratha Platform
(Mediterranean Sea – Libya)
Responsibilities:

oConstruction, pre-commissioning, punch listing, commissioning and start up of oil wells electrical / instrument equipment (including Electrical Generators and Motors, HVAC Systems, Electrical Switches of power centres, Electrical Power Transformers, lighting systems, communication systems, all types of transducers, interconnections of DCS, PLC, etc.)
oOperation and maintenance of the electrical equipment of gas well, especially of the Gas Turbine Generators (3 GTG ALSTOM – 11 Mw / 6.6 Kv / one generator, with the possibility of operation with Diesel Fuel and Gas Fuel), the Emergency Diesel Generator (2,5 MW / 400V output) and the HVAC System.
oAccording with the Work Orders, it was done maintenance activity of all the electrical items (electrical motors, lighting fixtures, power centres, miscellaneous panels, etc).


•Period: 1990 – 2004
Position: Shift Maintenance Electrical Superintendent
Company & Location: PETROM OMV Group – Petrobrazi Refinery
Responsibilities:

oElectrical Personnel Supervising activity. In my subordination it was all the shift personnel of 30 Distribution Electrical Power Stations (6 / 0,4 Kv), of Very deep and deep Connection Power Stations (3 of 110 / 6 Kv and 3 of 35 / 6 Kv), of 3 Emergency Diesel Generators (1,5 Mw / 400 V) and of the Refinery Power Plant (Hyundai Heavy Industry CO., Ltd Project – 2 Siemens Turbo generators – 20 Mw / 6 Kv / one generator, with the possibility of operation with Diesel Fuel and Gas Fuel).
oIf necessary, connecting and disconnecting actions of the switches in the refinery electric network (in special situations) in cooperation with the Territorial or National Electrical Dispatcher of National electrical System.
oPermanent contact with other speciality Shift Engineer Supervisors, for forestall and eliminate as quickly as possible any operation activity perturbation.
oAlways it was necessary, involved in identification and reparation of any kind of failure, in cooperation with the shift electricians from each installation substation.
For big failures (electrical motors and/or transformers burned during operation, identification and reparation of high voltage and/or low voltage power cables, extended failures in the control circuits of power network switches, etc), authorized to provide personnel brought from home (it didn’t matter about the holyday or night), to eliminate asap any kind of damages.
By couple of times, involved in some very big failures, as a consequence of some failures on the high voltage cables which fed the refinery. Made all the best to eliminate asap these failures using all the possibilities, being assisted by the refinery management. Each situation has been solved very quickly, the high voltage supply of the refinery being reconnected just after a couple of hours.


•Period: 1988 – 1990
Position: Electrical Engineer
Company & Location: Rafo Onesti - Petrochemical Combined Works – Borzesti (Bacau)
Responsibilities:

oSupervision the electrical maintenance activity in some process installations (Coke Installation, Thermal Cracking, Isoprene Monomer Installation and Styrene Monomer Installation).
oPermanent contact with other speciality Shift Engineer Supervisors, for forestall and eliminate as quickly as possible any operation activity perturbation.
ºFor more than 6 months, activity as teacher in the Industrial Chemistry School of Onesti city, instead of other teacher. With this occasion, performed a lot curses of Electrical and Instrumentation speciality (which attended myself as student in the high school).


•Period: 1982 – 1988
Position: Electrical – Instrument Technician
Company & Location: Petrochemical Combined Works – Brazi (Ploiesti), Vega Refinery (Ploiesti), And Petrochemical Combined Works Midia – Navodari (Constanta)
Responsibilities:

In 2004 , worked in Petrochemical Combined Works Petrotel –
LUK OIL in cooperation with a Construction Company at reconstruction
of some building. The job was the design and execution perform of
the electrical installations for those building. The cooperation was half
an year.
