1. Summary (Cover Letter) - CV/Resume Part 1 [Mandatory] |
I would like to present myself to assure you that I am an appropriate candidate for your Company. I perceive my academic education profile as one of my advantages. It was mainly focused on acquiring a mixture of technical and economic knowledge. I completed (simultaneously) two faculties at the Warsaw University of Technology: Gas Engineering and Marketing & Management. Currently I am during my MBA studies. I believe that this unique combination of knowledge constitutes a solid background for the most challenging goals in my professional career.
My personal career is mainly focused on the energy sector. At the beginning of my professional activities I had a chance to participate in internship programmes in Warsaw Gas Distribution Company and Vattenfall Heat Poland. Due to my deep interest in economic aspects of the energy business and good academic results, I received a proposal of employment before the end of my studies. As a result, I started to work for Gaz-System – transmission system operator for Polish gas market. This work benefited me with an understanding of the processes ongoing in emerging business entity focused on the management of complicated gas network. After two years, I decided to change the place of my employment. I started working for Polish Oil and Gas Company – the biggest Polish gas and oil company. At the beginning I was involved in the big infrastructural project as senior specialist – and after few months I was promoted to become the manager of a newly created unit – International Analysis. While working for PGNiG, I managed to gain an understanding of the dynamics and different sensitivities that exist among people and I had a chance to learn how to handle arising conflicts and share tasks. In the begining of 2007, I accepted the challenging offer to become the deputy director of Foreign Trade Department where I was responsible for new projects (Baltic Pipe, Skanled), cooperation with Scandinavian partners, gas purchase contracts negotiations (Gazprom, VNG) and international analyses. currently working as a commercial manager in Norwegian company with foreign capital (newcomer on the NCS), responsible for negotiations of gas contracts, plans for transportation of hydrocarbons (production from own assets one of the biggest projects on the NCS which is currently in development phase) and strategy.
