2001-2008 Fixed Equipment Inspector-Analyst - TCO Material Reliability Group.
Ensure safety, integrity, and reliability of in-service piping, vessels, and other fixed equipment.
Ensure compliance with Republic of Kazakhstan regulations, International Codes, and Chevron Corporate best practices. Develop and recommend risk based inspection pro-grams to optimize production.
Inspection and assessment of tanks, vessels, and process piping in compliance with API-510, API-570, API-653, and ASME standards as well as ROK State standards and ROK Rules for Vessel Inspection.
Provide technical recommendations to Plant Operations to maintain or increase equipment reliability to ensure that safety, regulatory compliance, and production targets are achieved.
Develop risked based inspection plans and inspection procedures for both routine non-routine inspections for piping and vessels based on Chevron best practices and industry RBI Philosophies.
Through management and analysis of corrosion trend data, and in-service inspection results monitor the condition of all plant equipment and make recommendations for shutdown/ replacement periods.
Participate in Plant Turnaround Planning.
Recommendations for repair and inspection of tanks, vessels, and process piping.
Monitor and support maintenance activities in the areas of material selection, welding, piping / vessel repairs, and NDE (Non destructive Examination).
C-ordinate the execution of failure analysis on materials and welding. Report findings, and make recommendations for prevention and material substitutions.
During Plant Turnarounds Supervise a multinational staff of 4-6 contract employees.
Contribute to the TCO corporate Safety and Environmental Polices and Regulatory compliance.
2000-2001 TCO Material Engineering, 2nd level NDE Technician, Karaganda NDT Center .
Metal quality and weld joint control for piping and pressure vessels operating in corrosive service. Visual, Ultrasonic, Magnetic, and Liquid Penetrant Examination; Radiographic inspection techniques.
1998-2001 Training and qualification of NDT specialists in the Qualification Center of Non-Destructive Testing, Karaganda.
Trains groups of specialists to work with ultrasonic testing instruments by “Krautkremer” (Germany) and “Namicon” (Italy).
