1. Summary (Cover Letter) - CV/Resume Part 1 [Mandatory]

I have been an employee of Princess Cruises for over 10 years, currently holding the position of First Electro Technical Officer during the last 4 years.As part of my duties and responsibilities associated with my rank, I lead a multinational team of 12 workers (junior ETOs, fitters and cadets),supervising and organizing the day-to-day maintenance, implementation and fault finding of the ship’s electrical equipment. I would like to be considered for any position, either marine or offshore in oil and gas sector, that you think suitable for my skill and experience; with regard to the oil and gas industry position ideally I would like to gain employment within my trade as an electrician, however I am willing to start at the bottom and work my way up within your organization.

2. Work Experience - CV/Resume Part 2 [Mandatory]

From July 2008 to present: Electrical Officer on board P/C TELIRI (DP2 class cable layer) of the Company ELETTRA TLC SpA .

December 1997 - December 2007: First, Second, Third ETO on board cruise ships (Princess Cruises) with the following activities and responsibilities:

High voltage authorized person for main switchboard, propulsion, generation and distribution including scheduled inspections. Main engine propulsion and steering system. Main motor power generation. Electrical and electronic navigation and bridge equipment. Day-to-day management of junior officers, technicians, fitters and cadets. Electrical design and implementation of shore side management electro-technical projects. Investigate and advise on electrical modification proposal and company-funded projects. Provide electrical advice and assistance to ship’s staff. Upkeep of the AMOS maintenance and purchasing database in all areas of responsibility. Perform emergency duties associated with rank. Process control and automated system control (Siemens IMAC with step 5 and step 7); engine room operator interfaces and feedback from engine room associated systems. Medium voltage switchboards and power distribution. Emergency operation and distribution, including routine emergency generation tests and operation in emergency situations. Safety control and management system (SMS), including fire detection and emergency shutdown system. Freshwater production, monitoring and treatment system. Waste management systems. Air-conditioning and refrigeration control and automation systems. Deck equipment, mooring systems, shell door system. Maintenance and repair of ship’s elevators in accordance with all relevant safety standards and fleet instructions. Responsible for the organization of electrical stores and stock control for electrical consumable and tools.

From Dec 1995 to Mar 1997 I have been employee of Carnival Crusise Line as Cadet electrician.

From 1994 to 1995: electrician self employment and further education

From Aug 1993 to Dec 1993 employee as oiler on tanker ship

From 1991 to 1993: employee as sotore keeper and electrician

From Jan 1988 to Jan 1991: Italian Navy petty officer as ship's electrician

I have been a senior Electro-technical Officer which involves organizing and supervising multinational working teams of junior officers, cadets, fitters and technicians to carry out planned and unplanned maintenance, onboard electrical equipment installation and implementation, resource management. I am a good team-worker and an effective communicator.
Wide knowledge and working experience with Siemens IMACS S5-S7 ship's automation; also worked on ABB and Kongsberg (AVM) ship's automation system.
6. Additional Information - CV/Resume Part 6 [Optional]
As part of my work experience gained in particular during the past 10 years as ETO onboard cruise ships with diesel electric propulsion, I worked with ABB and Siemens automation systems, ABB and Alstom high and low voltage switchboards, Alstom and Siemens electric propulsion motors, GE gas turbine LM2500, Wartsila Common Rail engines with WECS 2000 and 7500, fire detection and emergency shutdown system and many other auxiliary equipments. I also had the chance in 2002 to work for 7 months at the set up of Coral Princess built by the French shipyard in St. Nazaire, and recently from October 19 2006 to November 1 2006 I had a chance to work as Assistant Superintendent Electrical Engineer, during the dry dock of Grand Princess carried out in Palermo at the Fincantieri Shipyard.

Also I hold the following Certificates and Travel documents:
Proficiency in personal survival techniques. Personal safety and social responsibilities (PSSR). First aid on board ships. Advanced fire fighting training (Warsash Maritime Centre). International certificate of vaccination against yellow fever (June 2006 - 2016). Crisis Management and Human Behavior on Passenger Ships. Passenger Safety on Passenger Ships. Passport and USA VISA C1 D valid till October 2015.

I am self motivated individual with a reputation for consistently achieving a high level of performance. Well organized, disciplined, reliable and trustworthy, instilling confidence in both senior management and team members. Ability to work as part as a team, but also able to work on own initiative unsupervised while planning and organizing own work load.
