I am applying for this career opening because I firmly believe that I have the necessary qualification and motivation to fill in this interesting and demanding position. Presently, I am an official with the Maltese National Euro Changeover Committee (NECC).
Over the past two years, I have been actively involved in project management and in the distribution planning of a number of euro related projects. Amongst other projects, I was particularly involved in the set up and organisation of a number of regional information offices located round Malta and Gozo, the purchasing and distribution of communication material and the organisation seminars with leading financial institutions.
My current position with in the NECC requires a significant amount of planning and coordination with different stake holders both at a local and European level such as the European Parliament and European Commission. Currently, I am finishing my general business studies with the European University through an out reach programme; I am also interested in pursuing further my studies in the area of financial services.

2. Work Experience - CV/Resume Part 2 [Mandatory]
Project Management and Communication:
I have been working with the Maltese National Euro Changeover Committee (NECC) for the past two years. My current role involves project management particularly in the area of logistics, budgeting and the coordinating of the number of local and international communication events. The main objective of the euro changeover project involved that of:
a) Ensuring a smooth introduction of the euro currency in Malta; and
b) Ensuring that price stability was maintained during the changeover period.
My role with the NECC brought me in direct liaison with local and European Union institutions (such as the European Parliament) on a number of euro related communication projects. Furthermore, I have been actively involved in the evaluation of proposals presented by local suppliers.
On the run up to e-day (1st January 2008), I was actively involved in the organisation and the management of a network of euro information centres located round the Maltese Islands.
Research and Communications:
This project was co-financed by the EU’s European Social Fund for the programming period 2004 to 2006 with the major objective of revamping the Maltese Waste Management Strategy with particular emphasis on communication with different stake holders. My role entailed carrying out primary communication research with different stakeholders and users with the aim of fine tuning the current WasteServ communication strategy.
Market Research: This was my first employment opportunity. My experience with Misco Ltd involved carry out primary research through question and survey on a number of a market studies for both Maltese and foreign companies. Studies where carried for European institutions, telecom and public entities. Our research included analysing the current market situation and highlighting possible input in the procedure.
