CV/Resume Details
1. Summary (Cover Letter) - CV/Resume Part 1 [Mandatory]

I obtained my Ph.D. in Ocean an Naval Architectural Engineering (ONAE) from Memorial University and am currently working at Memorial as a visiting Assistant Professor in the ONAE department.

My current research areas include experimental and numerical investigations into the phenomenon of vortex induced vibrations on marine risers. I also have experience in research team management, as the academic lead in a project that seeks to develop best practices in launching and operating lifeboats in pack-ice.

In my dissertation work, entitled "A Three-Dimensional Simulation of Vortex Induced Vibrations (VIV) on Marine Risers at High Reynolds Number using Computational Fluid Dynamics", I investigated the influence of span-wise force variation for vortex induced vibrations on marine risers using a Large Eddy Simulation code. Furthermore, I have considerable teaching experience in naval architecture, and through my Master's work and various positions as a project engineer, I have experience in numerical simulation, experimental work, and several innovative fishing vessel designs. My work experience is varied and I have had notable paid internships in both Europe and North America.
