Provide medical care and primary first aid care in emergency cases, to all personnel onboard the rig
A. General Duties
1.Operate and maintain the rig’s hospital, medical chest and other medically related equipment.
2.Provide trauma and medical care to injured and sick crew members
3.Maintain accurate medical records of personnel onboard; i.e. blood group, allergies, medical history, etc.
4.Maintain records accompany personnel in the event of a medical evacuation. File reports as require
5.Provide & Maintain serviceability of all hospital and emergency medical equipment and take immediate step to rectify any deficiencies
6.Maintain good record keeping of medication and materials - check expiry dates and prepare requisition when required
7.Maintain accurate records of controlled/dangerous drugs – ensure the security of these drugs and submit updated record to the OIM on a monthly basis
8.Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping of hospital and associated areas
9.Advise supervisors and department heads on injuries and sicknesses involving members of their departments
10.Advise supervisors of the need for a medical emergency evacuation of injured/sick crew member
11.Weekly hygiene inspections with OIM/Safety officer/Barge Superintendent.
12.Assist OIM with clerical duties as required
13.Complete Daily IADC report on regular basic as per the Operations
14.Maintaining files and Certification Documentation for the complete rig and rig related Equipments
15.Promote and maintain a good working relationship with other departments, third party personnel and Client representative
16.Maintain discipline onboard and ensure compliance with Company disciplinary procedures.
17.Prepare and Reporting All Month End Reports
18.Prepare timesheets for personnel onboard in accordance with payroll procedures
19.Maintain files, logs, accounts and records as directed by supervisor
20.Ensure regulatory requirements for environmental protection are complied with
B. QHSE
1.Conducting Daily and Weekly Safety Meeting
2.Working as on Duty safetyman investigation of all incident & accident and reporting to the Sr. Staff
3.Preparing the Drill Data & Maintaining the Record’s
4.Actively participate in weekly safety meetings and pre job meetings as required
5.Respond to emergency situations and environmental protection issues as per designation on station bill
6.Report any incidents, potential hazards or abnormal situations immediately to supervisor and other department heads
7.Assist in preparing Job Safety Analysis for hazardous situations
8.Assist for the activities regarding the management of the crew training & other Programme
9.Ensure a high standard of hygiene and housekeeping is maintained onboard the rig
