CV/Resume Details

1. Summary (Cover Letter) - CV/Resume Part 1 [Mandatory]

To utilize the skills obtained in the other set of fields, and contributing towards professionally managed petroleum exploration, development and production. Aspiring for a senior management position in near future.

2. Work Experience - CV/Resume Part 2 [Mandatory]

On post- graduating from Indian Institute of Technology, (Powai, Mumbai) in the year 1982, I joined ONGC in March 1984 in the capacity of Sr. Technical Assistant (Geology). I have worked in the regional laboratory at Mumbai region wherein I got an experience of preparing and analyzing samples for Paleontological & sedimentological studies, for two years. I was working with ONGC on contract basis even before joining for the geological laboratory by analyzing samples for preparation of different reports on Petrochemical characters of reservoir, fixing of the age boundaries for the formations etc. Description of cores, cutting samples. Specifies mud logging programme; coring programme; wireline logging programme; input to casing point selection. Planning geological operations at the wells including inspection of mudlogging. Supervision of cutting samples & core collection, transportation and storage. Manages wireline logging, mudlogging and core analysis close supervision, periodic meetings and integration of results. Objectively assess risk and reserve volumetric calculations Responsible for the development of existing fields identifying potential drilling locations using all available data. Integration of all subsurface data into field and regional mapping. Data includes formation tops, fault cuts, sequence stratigraphic framework, reservoir architecture and reservoir rock properties. Well site geological activities like supervision of mud logging work, open hole logging, calling of coring, picking casing points, watching abnormal pressures.

I have also worked in Offshore Mumbai as well-site geologist and acquired experience on working in online Mud Logging Units, Geotechnical studies & interpretation of Geo-scientific data for oil exploration and development in the field and was accredited with number of small sized hydrocarbon discoveries. Since 1993 I have been working on-land as a member of multi disciplinary team at Asset level and got an opportunity to understand the various problems in other disciplines involved in hydrocarbon exploration. I was associated with number of projects leading to identification of prospects & their completion resulting in hydrocarbon discoveries and viable production. I have considerable experience of managing depletion & aquifer driven reservoirs and pressure maintenance schemes as well as identification of troubleshooting in wells.

JOB PROFILE:

1982 – 1984: Laboratory Analysis, the duties included preparation of samples for palaeontological studies included preparation of slides of microfaunal assemblages from samples prepared.

1984 – 1986: Working for Oil and Natural gas Corporation, India since 1984 drill sites in either carbonate reservoir or other with the help of samples, geotechnical analysis and preparation GTO’s and thin sections and utilization of data from XRD analysis for sedimentary litho – sequence studies for identification of different environment of depositions and stratigraphic sequences.

1986 – 30.11.2007: Actively associated with exploration, development and Operation activities of Mumbai offshore (Pericontinental basin), Assam – Arakan Bain (Frontal folded belt, Upper Assam) and now western Onshore Business Unit, North Cambay basin at Mehsana Asset; Gujarat, India during the professional carrier of 22 years. Duties attended as a field geologist and a Well – site geologist: Exploration and development Geology with the in-depth knowledge of working on Online Mud logging Units and conventional methods as well such as site surveys along with surveyor for staking of location, preparation of Geo – Technical order, collection and descriptions of samples, cutting of conventional cores at the desired depths, recoveries of same. Field description of conventional cores for hydrocarbons and decide whether to core further or to terminate coring and resume drilling, to reach Target Depths. Interpretation of logging operations, correlation of operation data revealed from samples, deciding on SWC, RFT etc and exact casing depths is one of the major task in different pressure regimes. Collection, compilation and analysis of all the geoscientific data so obtained for stratigraphic sequence, identification of hydrocarbon pay intervals to put them on production successfully. I have been working onland as a member of multi disciplinary team at Asset level and got an opportunity to understand the various problems in other disciplines involved in hydrocarbon exploration. Analyzing complete data for the field development and exploration along with the seismic data available in the area had helped in identifying different prospects, modeling of different fields, which resulted in accretion of reserves. Apart from the processing experience in interpretation of geoscientifc data, reservoir management, their characterization in aquifer and depletion drive type of reservoirs possesses a resulted oriented approach and good communication skill.

3011.2007 – till date: waiting for good opportunity and settlement from my earlier employer for earlier my service.
