To whom it may concern:
I am inquiring about any jobs you may have as an instrumentation/automation technician. I am a senior at OSU-Okmulgee majoring in Instrumentation Engineering. I will be graduating with my bachelor’s degree in December of 2007 and looking for employment there afterwards. I am very interested in getting my foot in the door in offshore work with your company.
Instrumentation engineering is definitely the career I want to pursue. My education at OSU Okmulgee includes these classes: Engineering Technologies, Digital Systems & Microcontrollers, Network Operating Systems, Hydraulics and Pneumatics, AC/DC Electronics and Electrical Instrumentation. I have researched your company over the Internet and was impressed with everything that I found. Your company is the world’s largest diversified resources company and I would be thrilled to join your company after graduation.
My work experience started with the military. After basic training I went through an interior electrical course and received top honor in the class. While stationed in Iraq, I was an interior electrician for the US Army. I did basic interior wiring, troubleshooting, and any type of electrical projects that needed to be done. I also ran a forklift and backhoe for the military.
I have enclosed my resume for your review. I would appreciate your time and consideration. I hope to hear from you in the near future.
