Basic Function:
Under minimum supervision, provides support in the development, implementation and management of yearly operational budget through the application of fundamental practices prescribed by the Government as well as Hospital policies and procedures.

Principal Duties:
• Provide guidance in the preparation of yearly operational budget, expense projections, routine financial reports and other specialized financial reports and analysis.
• Assist departmental staff personal in understanding financial reports and data, controlling costs and budgets, and fulfilling budgetary requirements.
• Analyze proposed and final funding requests, comparisons, impacts and or projections.
• Reconciles budgeted and actual expenditures for compliance with approved budget.
• Review budget spending transactions for availability of funds.
• Assists in the implication of policies for accounting and finance functions of the Research Projects as per internationally accepted accounting & auditing standards.
• Liaise with Principal Investigator in developing budgets and coordinating research activities.
• Prepares, reviews financial reports to ensure that the Investigator are in compliance with the contractual obligations of the research funds.
• Performs audits of accounting, financial and operating records on funded projects as or when required.
• Prepare special budget reports as or when required.
• Assist in completing moderately complex administrative paper works.
• Maintain suitable filing system for all reference documents.
