I am a qualified electrician with over 4 years post apprenticeship experience and two years experience as an electrical technician. I have worked on several platforms in the north sea over the past year and hold all relevant certs. I am looking for a position in the oil and gas sector involved in the construction or maintenance. Work carried out was new installations of cable tray and ladder racking and mounting of switch gear and distribution boards.

November 07 – January 08 EI-WHS at Corus Steel Works Teesside

Work involved carrying out maintenance on the blast furnace at Corus, Teesside. For the duration of this role I mostly worked on the PX Power Station, Teesside. This is a gas powered plant and involved working on high voltage plant, instrumentation, controls and commissioning.

August 07 – October 07 Lace Gold Electrical at Lafarge Quarry

Work involved general site overhaul and maintenance was carried out on all plant equipment. Other duties included new installation of cable tray, trunking, s.w.a’s, glanding and terminating of s.w.a’s.

June07 – August 07 RBC at BASF Petro/chem Site Seal Sands

Work involved planned maintenance while the site was shut down. Maintenance was mainly on 3.3kv drives, three phase motors and three phase distribution. I have worked on a great variety of sites including I.C.I Wilton, Corus, Elementis Chromium, Hartlepool Nuclear Power Station, Alcan Aluminium Smelting Plant and BASF. During these placements I have carried out work on high voltage installations, petro-chemical sites, instrumentation, maintenance, lighting and power, maintenance on motors, data systems, building management systems, addressable fire alarm systems, UPS systems, trace heating and telecoms.
