I am a post graduate Marine Engineer having vast experience in ship board operations of Marine Machinery like Gas Turbines, Staem Turbines, Diesel Engines, air compressors, air conditioning plant, refrigeration plant, desalination plant, various types of pumps, ships stabilizer system,steering system and machinery controls. I also have vast experience in project management of high value ship building projects in India and abroad. I also have about 10 years experience in Industry dealing with project management of Gas Turbine based power projects.

* The company provides end to end solutions for energy by using appropriate technology, equipment installation, commissioning and providing O&M services for life time of equipment for all customers.
* As CEO responsible for developing strategic alliances with equipment manufacturers and partners for establishing the new Energy Division of the Company
* Responsible to MD& Promoter of the Company.
* Manage the whole Energy Division. Total company strength is 1700 personnel mainly consisting of Engineers and technicians.
* Achieved following MOU alliances for the following in Short Time:

# With Turbomach (a Caterpillar Company) for Gas Turbine based co-gen power plants.
# With Shaungliang in China for direct exhaust fired Absorption Air-conditioning Equipment using waste heat.
# With three Chinese companies for supply of DG and Gas Engines sets
# With US Company for investments in Energy Projects in India. This involves formation JV between two companies and SPV jointly with customer for specific projects to be taken up on BOO/BOOT schemes
# Exploring possibility of partnership with leading international companies for water treatment and desalination plants in India.

* Responsible for two major orders for DG sets from BHEL for supply in Sudan and India which are being executed.3*630 KVA for Sudan project and 3*1100 KVA for BHEL in India.

* Working on projects involving biomethanisation of municipal organic wastes. Discussions are on with international firms for appropriate technology for these projects.

* Company involved in designing and developing energy conservation steam turbines and gas turbines for industry. Company takes up R&D project in developing new equipment, new technology for various customers.

* As COO of the R&D division responsible for new products development right from design, manufacturing, testing and commissioning and then launching these commercially. Total strength of company was 100. Out of this the product development team was about 30. Balance were marketing, production and service teams.

* This company is the Customer Support centre for Alstom Power, UK. Now this company has been taken over by Seimens after the take over of Alstom Power by Seimens in Europe. Company activities included sale and servicing of Alstom range of Gas Turbines (less than 15 MW).
* Reporting to the Executive Director. Total strength 50 personnel.
* Job involved complete project management of Alstom Power Gas Turbine based co-generation power projects for industry and the maintenance of all existing Gas Turbines supplied by Alstom Power, UK. Also responsible of sales and servicing of Haskel Energy, UK Products.
* Completed Erection, construction and commissioning of two captive cogeneration power projects (7mW and 5mW) without time and cost overruns. Experience in handling EPC contracts.
* Developed local sourcing of balance of plant items like waste heat boiler, generator, motor control centres, generator control panels, battery charger, neutral grounding resister, coolers, cables, air intake, ventilation & exhaust systems for gas turbine based captive power plants meeting Alstom quality standards. Complete techno- commercial actions required for procurement of all balance of plant items carried out and monitored manufacturing progress to Alstom quality standards to enable timely delivery. Resolved all issues faced during manufacture of balance of plant in consultation with Alstom Power, UK.
* Ensured timely receipt of imported gas turbine and control system. Coordinated all activities at site for correct and timely installation of all equipment by means of effective co-ordination with all suppliers and customer.
* Conducted progress review meetings with vendors and site subcontractors. Submitted progress reports to Customer, management and collaborator (Alstom Power, UK).
* Planned the complete overhaul process, interacted with customers, positioning of spares for overhaul and providing customer support for trouble shooting of operational gas turbines.
* Instrumental in six fold increase in turnover since joining.

* Chief Engineer of Ships: As chief engineer responsible for ships propulsion, power generation and distribution, air-conditioning and refrigeration plants, desalination plants, steering and stabilizer systems, fire detection /fighting system, compressed air system and other domestic systems, various types of pumps and heat exchangers for lubricating oil systems
* Operation and maintenance of Gas Turbine for propulsion of about 80mW capacity and gas turbine and diesel generators of about 4mW capacity. Carried out efficient management of spare and consumables to keep the ship operational away from land for long durations.
* Operation & maintenance of 16 PA6 Peilstick diesel engines and Cummins 1710 diesel generators. Other major equipment were Air conditioning and ref plants of Carrier USA make (160 TR), Steering and stabilizer units of Vosper Thorny croft, UK make, Main gear box of Renk Germany make, Controllable Pitch Propeller system from Escher Wyss, Germany. Experience in operation and maintenance of Reverse Osmosis desalination plants.
* As Project Manager: Involved in project management of ship construction projects of very high values for more than 08 years. in shipyards in India and South Korea. Involved in the project from concept to commissioning. Work involved all aspects of freezing the requirement specification, discussions with leading shipyards in the world, selection of shipyard, approval of design drawings, selection of equipment, Monitor Construction, Ensure timely completion of project . Was awarded Chief of the Naval Staff commendation for completing this project without time and cost overruns.
* Quality Assurance: Responsible for ensuring quality standards for repair of marine engineering equipment as per laid out norms for ships and submarines.
* Review of quality standards based on feed back from users on ships. Analyzed equipment failures and introduced necessary changes in quality inspections and procedures to avoid such failures.
* Was responsible for introduction of ISO 9000 systems and training of dockyard workers for quality awareness and ISO 9000 concepts to achieve ISO 9000 certification.
* Responsible for carrying out acceptance trials of machinery fitted on ships to stringent standards. Carried out acceptance trials of all marine machineries which includes Propulsion Diesel Engines/Gas Turbines,, Generators, air-conditioning plants, Refrigeration plants, Air compressors, Desalination equipment, various pumps, hydraulic steering and stabilizer systems machinery controls etc. Achieved complete acceptance trials of 08 ships.
