Qualified as a mechanical fitter at African Explosives LTD in 1995. There I did plant maintenance on Nitric Acid plants, Ammmonia plants, Urea plants, Formalin, Resins, and Methanol plants, as well as explosives plants. I did shutdown planning, shutdown maintenance as well as purchasing for various shutdowns. I have done a lot of pressure testing and commissioning of repaired equipment. I have also managed contractors in the repairs and maintenance off all plant equipment, such as valves, pipe work, pumps, pressure vessels and steam boilers. In 2003 I was later promoted to stores manager where I managed the equipment stores for the various plants. I did all the stock taking of mechanical and electrical equipment as well as purchasing of stock.
