(d) Workshop practice (Duration 11 weeks). On becoming LME, he supervises the work of Engineering Mechanic 1st & 2nd class & takes charge of Engine Room, IC Engines, Boilers, Gas Turbines, Ref. & A/C, Distilling, Compressing & Pumping plants. As per National Code of Occupation (NCO Code) a LME is equivalent to Steam/Gas Turbine Operator (Code no. 961.30) IC Engine Driver (Code 961.20) & Crane & Hoist Operator (Code 973.88) in civil trade.
