DART (Dallas Area Rapid Transit) April 1984 – To Nov 2007
Lead Electronics Mechanic; Fare Equipment responsible for overseeing personnel involved with maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting and repair of fare equipment and components for the Fleet Services Division. Also responsible for requisitioning parts and ordering parts from inventory in warehouse. Duties include assisting supervisor with work task assignments, verify daily time records, process spear work orders, perform routine servicing, tests, preventive maintenance, and repairs of ticket vending machines and ticket validators; perform repair, overhaul and modification of fare boxes and destination signs; perform cleaning, adjustment, lubrication, and corrosion control of fare collections equipment; ensure proper operation of ticket dispensers, coin acceptors, bill acceptors and ticket vending machine intrusion alarms; acts as shift supervisor in his/her absence; assist with training mechanics as required.
