As a field site safety representative, I appreciate and respect the guidelines and policies of not only the company but also O.S.H.A. I am highly motivated and result-focused with over nine years of on-site experience in the chemical/ power and refinery industry. I am considered a strong leader and require positive communication with others. I maintain a high standard of morale which I feel is a contributing factor to a safe working environment as well as building lasting relationships with co-workers and other contractors.

EMPLOYMENT
April ‘06 – April ‘08 Site Safety Representative - The Brevard Company, Freeport, TX
Observe various crews daily in the field performing tasks. Audit all scaffolds in various stages of completion in the field. Interact with all employees to maintain safety awareness. Audit and advise foreman and general foreman of any employee violating safety policies. Direct bi-monthly scheduled audits with Dow EH&S Technician. Transport employees to and from medical clinics. Oversee urinalysis. Manage and organize bi-annual inspections of all safety equipment. Perform employee investigations for root cause of incidents. Finalize and complete any daily paperwork including, daily audit sheets, incident/accident investigation report, SOIC cards and/or daily safety emphasis. Lead daily safety tailgate meetings with all crews. Conduct scheduled weekly safety meetings with all crews.

Oct ‘05 - March ‘06 Site Safety Technician - Performance Contractors, Freeport, TX
Observed various crews daily in the field performing daily tasks. Interact with all employees to maintain safety awareness. Audit and advise foreman and general foreman of any employee violating safety policies. Transport employees to and from medical clinics. Oversee urinalysis. Manage quarterly inspections on power tools, extension cords and PPE. Trained and administer tests for job site equipment (i.e. JLGs, scissor lifts). Conducted investigations for root cause of incidents. Complete weekly and monthly accident summary reports along with daily audit sheets, incident/accident investigation report and site specific reports. Attend and participate in daily tool box safety meetings.
