and why I would make a good candidate for the position. I am married with five children am a very young fifty one years old very fit and hard working. I have gained many skills over the years, I am also very hard working totally reliable and a good team player, am veryrarely ill having had only a hand full of day’s off in the last twenty years.I worked offshore back in the late seventies early eighties also in the yard workshops,I worked as a pipe fitters mate,I got on very well picking up many skills such as steel cutting with torch, also the computerised cutting machine, grinding tacking and all other related tasks. I also have very good mechanical skills after serving tree out of five year apprenticeship, before the garage that I was working in closed.I have also been a keen sailor over the past twenty years, and having gained shore based Day Skipper,I also have all but two signatures for the practical part, I have inland water ways powerlevel two, I have taken the night watch whilst crewing. I am a very practically minded person good at Cumming up with problem solving solutions. I have been involved in motor racing from the age of fifteen working on and preparing my own cars, so am able to work well under pressure. I would like to close by saying I would make a large contribution to any workforce and not let you down.

2. Work Experience - CV/Resume Part 2 [Mandatory]

Work history.
After leaving school I did three years out of a five year apprenticeship at Apex garage
Gorleston, Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, UK. I gained many skills, also working on my private car and racing car, the garage went out of business before I could finish, but by the time I left I could changed Head Gaskets, replace hole braking systems and many other engine related projects. From there I went to work in the yard workshops of Brown & Root UK Ltd, in Great Yarmouth, started as a pipe fitters mate, we worked on building accommodation modules handrails and many other oil rig related projects,I learned to cut grind tack read drawings, after a while went offshore to the Forties Field, working on platforms such as Brent C, and Charlie. There would change pumps flanges and valves and got on very well, in 1982 after being there for six years and the rigs up and running they offered me a job in Mexico or to be made redundant, as I was involved in motor racing at the time I was forced to take redundancy as I would have been away for long periods.
I then in 1982 did the training to become a driving instructor, once qualified I started my
own Driving school teaching candidates to acquire the standard needed to pass there driving test, this fit in nicely with my Motor Racing, this I did for eight years.I then applied for the position of Driving Examiner and was successful this was a Government position, my responsibilities included assessing candidates that came to the test centre to see if they had reached the standardset out by the Government needed to gain a driving licence, whilst there attended management training courses, this job I enjoyed very much. I was working in London and after ten years and with three children at that time we felt we could give the children a better chance if we moved out of the ever ncreasing violent and drug orientated way of life.
So in the year 2000 we moved to Wales I started my own business as a classic car restorer I used all the skills I had picked up over the years to breath life into many old cars restoring gearboxes engines body and chassis this I did for four years, but at the same time I did a six month contract with BMW working on the new Mini,I was able to do this because I worked a 36 hour weekend shift, there I worked on the production line switching between all aspects of building the car, also in the fault repair department.

In 2004 we moved back to Norfolk to be near our families for a few years,as we had decided that Spain was going to be our next move, whilst in Norfolk I did a ifteenmonth contract with Lotus Cars Hethal, Norfolk, there I did much the same as I had been doing at BMW, A different kind of car it was more like working on race cars working on front and rear suspension drive shafts, and also in the fault repair department.
After my contract with Lotus Cars,I went to work for Health Care Homes Ltd, Wroxham Norfolk, my position there was in Maintenance and a very wide range of duties, to include rewiring plumbing painting outside property repair plus all the equipment inside the home, all tasks had to be to a very high standard due to the nature of the business also a very tight Government inspection routine, I had a very happy time with the company but after fourteen months it was time to make our move to Spain
and that is where we are now working at sea or back in the oil industry is now what I would like to continue with. I am happy to travel or relocate.
