Current Job experience details:

At Keppel FELS as a Project Superintendent, Commissioning, leading a commissioning team of 20 Engineers and 10 technicians,

-Attending F.A.T, and warehouse inspections along with owner side and vendors.

-Preparing schedules with planner and reviewing drawings and Test memos along with Engineering department.

-Monitoring and interacting with production (Hull, mechanical, piping, outfitting and electrical) to avoid deviations and faults and reduce delays in mechanical completion

-Precommissioning & commissioning of various systems and equipment in marine and drilling systems including the power generators Caterpillar and Watsila up to 2.5 MW each HVAC systems ,air compressors, pumps, Centrifuges (purifiers ),oily water separators, Fresh water generators (Vacuum heat exchanger type & R O type ) deck cranes , winches ,mud pumps, Life boats, Fire and Gas detection and water sprinkler systems ,Sewage treatment and hydrophore systems, Galley and Laundry equipment and drill floor equipment like draw works, Bop systems, Topdrive, Hydraulic power units, wireline unit etc, in jack up and semi submersible.

- Coordinate with Owners, Production, QA, Engineering and Vendors for resolving technical issues and closing up of punch lists, site memos and Non conformity reports if any .

-Review and execution of Test memos of various systems for final satisfactory owners acceptance and sign off, for the vessel delivery

-Monitoring the overall progress of the project and chasing different sections and vendors for timely delivery of the vessel.

-Operation and maintenance of the commissioned machinery till vessel’s delivery

-Following up for warranty issues after delivery.

-All activities complying to company’s HSE policy and permit to work system.

-Making purchase requisitions and outward permits as necessary and daily and weekly progress reports to top management regarding the project’s commissioning schedule and progress.

-Have successfully commissioned two Jack up rigs and involved in a Maersk semi submersible during the last month of the service,


Past marine experience:
Diesel Engines:

Operation and maintenance of two stroke turbo charged diesel engines burning heavy fuel oil, upto 25000 Bhp. ( Sulzer, MAN B&W) and all the auxiliaries associated with them, used for marine propulsion. Hands on experience in complete o’haul of units , fuel pumps , fuel injectors, cyl head fittings, Turbo charger etc and various calibration procedures.

Operation and maintenance of four stroke turbo charged diesel engines burning heavy fuel oil
up to to 2500 bhp used for power generation and all the auxiliaries associated with them .Hands on experience in complete o’haul of the units , fuel pumps , fuel injectors, cyl head fittings, turbo charger etc and various calibration procedures.(MAN B&W, Caterpillar, Watsila, APE, Yanmar, Daihatsu, SKL )

Boilers & steam turbines:

Operation and maintenance of boilers with nozzle type, rotary cup type burners & double evaporation type with working pressure up to 40 bar . Operation and maintenance of composite boilers including exhaust gas waste heat recovery . Complete maintenance of boiler fittings and accessories like Gauge glasses, valves, soot blowers, safety valves , remote water level indicators, dump coolers etc. water testing and chemical dosing to maintain the feed water. Also experienced in operation and maintenance of steam turbines used for driving high speed cargo pumps.


Centrifuges ( Purifiers ):

Hands on experience in operation and complete o’haul of purifiers used for purifying lub oils , diesel oil and heavy oil.
( Alfa Laval, Westfalia, Mitsubishi ) and accessories.

Air Compressors :

Operation and maintenance of reciprocating air compressors (30 bar), rotary air compressors (10 bar) ( Hatlapa, Yanmar, Hamworthy,Quincy, Tanabe, Atlas Copco). Hands on experience in complete o’haul.

Refrigeration and air conditioning systems:

Operation and maintenance of refrigerated cold rooms and air conditioning systems including complete o’haul of compressors, AHU, system check, and all accessories.( Carrier, York, Sabroe etc)

Heat exchangers:

Operation and maintenance of tube and plate type heat exchangers including pressure testing , leak finding and rectification and cleaning procedures.

Pumps , valves and pipe lines :

Operation and maintenance of various types of pumps and valves and associated pipe lines and fittings ( centrifugal, screw type, piston type, gear type)

Other utilities :

Also experienced in op & maintenance of Solid waste & sludge incinerators , oily water separators , sewage treatment plant, hydraulics and pneumatics ,Air driers, vacuum type and R.O type fresh water generators.
