1. Summary (Cover Letter) - CV/Resume Part 1 [Mandatory]
I am currently working in Melbourne as an Rigger and am looking to further my experience in this field, and see the world while doing it
2. Work Experience - CV/Resume Part 2 [Mandatory]
I am a qualified rigger and have been working in this field for 4 years now, my current work is as a lifting and height safety specialist. this involves everything from manufacturing and testing of chain slings, wire rope slings, crane ropes, to the periodic safety inspection of lifting and height safety gear on everything from Mills, to Power Plants and Minesites. it also requires an understanding and knowledge of all applicable standards to work to, and understanding of engineered drawings in completing inspections and testing. I am also certified to install, inspect and update height safety systems, from travsafe safety lines and ladder systems, to roofing walkways and anchor points, i have undergone training, and through my experience on sites i can safely say that even though i only have 4 years experience, i am confident that i have the knowledge to solve any issue that may arise in these areas.
3. Education & Training - CV/Resume Part 3 [Mandatory]
I have always had a keen interest in the mining and offshore industry, after completing secondary school i started a Marketing/Occupational Health and Safety course, before giving that up to complete a Chefs Apprenticeship, once finished with that i decided that i still had the desire to work in the mining industry. I started with my current company in the warehouse where i had to complete jobs from the manufacturing of the lifting equipment (chains, ropes) to also working on the dispatch and inwards of goods (this is when i completed my certificate in Warehouse Distribution and Storage, as well as my certificate in Electrical Appliance Safety Testing and Tagging). Once i felt i needed to take another step i accepted a job with one of our Branches in Western Australia, this is where i added the onsite inspections to my job, i worked with alot of the Coal mines and Mineral mines in south west WA. during my time over there is when i firstly did my Dogman and Basic Riggers ticket. After another 8 months or so is when i completed my Intermediate and Advanced Riggers ticket, as well as my Safe Working at Heights ticket, and my EWP (Elevated Working Platform) ticket. After a year in Western Australia and getting my Riggers tickets, as well as getting a bit homesick ( as it was my first time out of home) i moved back to Melbourne and accepted the Job with my first branch, and became the goto man for majority of the big customers jobs. i see an opportunity like this as the next step in furthering my knowledge and career.
