WORK EXPERIENCE – FEBRUARY 2007 TO TILL DATE:
Working as Inspection Engineer for SAFCO (Saudi Arabian Fertilizer Company) a SABIC affiliate, through M/S AL-BARRAK Company:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide and ensure a complete and cost effective inspection, materials and reliability engineering services which covers all stationary equipment & piping systems in all SAFCO plants in Jubail & Dammam, Royal Commission pipeline corridor and Port facilities.
Ensure the integrity & safety of all stationary equipment and piping systems as per applicable procedures, codes & standards (SAFCO,ROYAL COMMISSION,SABIC & INTERNATIONAL).
Maintain inspection records, analyze data, identify problems, provide and solutions to improve equipment & piping integrity, plants availability and safety and reduce maintenance cost.
Review Plant Corrosion Management System and prepare comprehensive inspection programs for all stationary equipments and piping systems and ensure that all inspection data is current and correct.
Familiarization with Risk Based Inspection software. Identify corrosion mechanism based on process flow diagrams, isometric drawings, operational data and marking locations for inspection and corrosion monitoring.
Carry out technical audits on contractors submitting an application to be included on the company list of approved contractors. Prepare shutdown inspection/repair work scopes for maintenance and participate in planning meetings. Review, mark-up and approval of prefabrication and construction contractors Inspection &Test Plan and Quality related documents. Application of the requirements of code and standards covering correctness of parent materials, welding consumables, dimensions, fit-up, weld preparations including any pre/post weld heat treatment and application of NDE Examination when required.
During scheduled plant shutdowns, inspect critical equipments and piping systems, carry out analysis of corrosion mechanism and failures found and maintain comprehensive inspection records. Plan and co-ordinate with inspection agencies for any specialized inspection service requirements for critical equipments and piping systems.
Developing/updating inspection procedures as per SABIC SHEM and applicable International Codes & Standards. Liaise with Business team, Maintenance & Process functions for risk assessment, problem resolution and work process improvement. Keep abreast & introduce new technologies to business needs.

WORK EXPERIENCE – FROM AUGUST 2006 ~ JANUARY 2007:
Worked as S.QC Engineer (Mechanical, Piping & Welding) on behalf of TECHIP ITALY S.p.A. KUWAIT OLEFINS -2 Project of EQUATE.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reviewing Sub-contractors quality documents to ensure adherence to service contract.
Carrying periodic inspection at site, preparing quality plan and the associated procedures as well as the inspection and auditing plans.
Verification of NDT and DT test results, Radiographic Interpretation of Welds.
Audited subcontractors ITP and Procedures as well as technical auditing of NDT, welding and painting subcontractors.
Shop & warehouse inspection of equipments, valves, piping & fittings, steel structures (dimensional, welding, NDT and painting inspection), materials verification & traceability.
Acted as inspection coordinator, assessed inspection reports and liaised with client's representative.
Responsible for escalating problems notification, rectification and decision making until a resolution is reached.

WORK EXPERIENCE – FROM FEBRUARY2006 ~ JULY 2006:
Worked as QC Engineer (Mechanical & Welding) on behalf of FLUOR DANIEL (NORTH CASPIAN CONSTRUCTORS) through NDT SERVICES LLP for KASHAGAN DEVELOPMENT PROJECT, KARABATAN, KAZAKHSTAN by AGIP KCO (ENI GROUP, ITALY).

Worked as Senior Plant Inspector in Saudi Arabian Petrochemical Company, PETROKEMYA in Olefins – I, II&III plant, PVC plant, vinyl chloride plant, polyethylene plant, polystyrene plant and Butane plant.

ON STREAM AND SHUT DOWN RESPONSIBILITIES:
External and internal inspection of static equipments like vessels , Columns, Heat exchangers , Storage tanks , Incinerators , Furnaces , Process piping & Reactors as per API. 510 (for pressure vessel inspection), API. 570 for (piping inspection), API. 653 for (tanks inspection), API. 598 for (valve inspection), API. RP. 573 for (furnace inspection), API. RP. 576 for (pressure relief devices).
Thickness monitoring with ultrasonic meters and preparation of report.
Determination of Corrosion Rate and Remaining Life.
Carburization Check on Furnace Tubes and Recommending Replacement.
