This role encompasses all the plant and respective disciplines associated with a major project and are the co-ordinating link between vendor suppliers and package/commissioning and operations engineers/managers and procurement managers. Supply Chain Manager Jan 2004 - Dec 2004

Procurement and Spares Consultancy
Responsible for the upgrade of the warehouse and spares facility on Bonny Island, with the objective of supporting the expansion of the current gas plant by another two gas trains. Providing the operations and maintenance teams with best practice for bills of material and the fast tracking of materials were necessary in order to optimise the plants up time. Specialising in (in country procurement).
Also supporting the plant shut down coordinators roll as and when required.
Other responsibilities include writing new procedures for the plant such as procurement process, warehouse activities, storage preservation, criticism of material/material returns etc.
Arrange logistics by air, sea and road (PACER system).

Central ISC Supply Chain/Procurement Manager 2000-2004

Responsible for the day to day running of the ongoing support for the Shearwater, Gannet and Nelson platforms, including managing the procurement for all maintenance routines, advising on spares management and contract management. Duties also include the support of the onshore and offshore engineering teams, advising best practises in SAP (R3 and 4.6), coordinating and prioritatising vessels and flights where necessary, in order to meet the requirements of each platform respectively.
Also responsible for monitoring storage preservation of all specialised spares on turbines, compressors, pumps, electric motors, instrumentation etc. Provide best practice in SAP R3 and 4.6b procurement and vendor management.

Shearwater Project Spares Manager 1998-2000
Project co-ordination between commissioning, operations and procurement.
Responsible for the day-to-day co-ordination between site and project spares selection for all phases of the Shearwater project (design, commissioning and operations). Ultimately achieving total savings of 2,400,000 million from a spare’s budget of 4,800,000.
Responsible for the design and implementation of a fully functional SAP R3 and 4.6b maintenance system. There after I was responsible for the training of SAP 4.6b in the plant maintenance module, material requisitioning/procurement, bills of material and function location structures, material master module, creation and linking to other modules within SAP to create full functionality and best practices in SAP. These courses were run in Aberdeen, Newcastle, London (AMEC) and Norway (Norska Shell).

SAP-R3 Plant Maintenance (BOM) Manager 1997-1998
Working within the SAP-R3 Plant maintenance design team. Responsible for the conversion of data from Shell IMIS plant maintenance system to SAP-R3 Plant Maintenance module. This included the creation and linking of Bill’s of Material to tag numbers in SAP-R3 and creating a final conversion file for loading into SAP-R3 PM module for the respective go-live date.
Continues contact/support and co-ordination/training of six business units within EXPRO. Providing presentations and overviews to senior field engineers from each business unit on how BOM’s work in SAP and the methods of how to go about reviewing equipment requiring a BOM. Sites co-ordinated included: Gas Plants (ST. Fergus, Mossmorran), Northern field unit, Brent field unit, Southern field unit, Central field unit, AMEC (London) Shearwater project.
Prepare and write procedures for the Plant Maintenance Bill of Material function design paper.

Mechanical/Sub Sea Equipment/Spares Standardiser (SAP R3) 1995-1997
Responsible for the day-to-day requirements and technical specification of all mechanical related equipment to be added to and already existing in the Shell Expro catalogue, in line with established guidelines. This includes catalogue work for new projects.
Undertake active assistance to Shell International (The Hague) in the preparation of conversion formats to convert the existing data for input to the new catalogue programs (CMT/SAP-R3).
Review the entire mechanical catalogue and eliminate redundancy and duplications, thereby saving storage costs, reducing the conversion costs and ultimately improving on the utilisation of the catalogue. Re-structure the data to standard formats to enable conversion to CMT (Catalogue Management Tool), a bridging tool to allow conversion into SAP-R3.
Supervise a Sub Contracted MESC Review Team.
Work closely with the SAP R-3 design team during conceptual and detailed design stage, advising and assisting within the team where required.
Also offering a wide range of services to new projects such as the F.P.S.O., Shearwater, Brent Refurbishment, and Shearwater on a third party consultancy bases.
Focal point in EXPRO for E-SPIR 2000.

Sub sea/Mechanical Project co-ordinator 1991-1994
Designed and implemented a new maintenance and certification system for all sub sea equipment whilst identifying surplus spares holdings and streamlining accordingly.
Responsible for the maintenance of all Texaco owned sub sea equipment.
Day to day responsibility for designing and implementing a re-certification/pressure testing program for new and refurbished equipment at various vendor locations whilst working to procedures and guidelines laid down by HSE and manufacturers procedures.

Sub sea/Mechanical Equipment Supervisor 1989-1991
Supervised the day to day running of Pinewood Pipe yard, specialising in equipment and components required for Sub Sea and down whole completions whilst working in a highly demanding environment. Co-ordinate all offshore mechanical rentals. Scheduled inspection programs for all casing and tubing, all repairs and recommendations for scrap whilst working within budget constraints. Plan equipment availability for all North Sea sub sea completions.

Subsea/Wellservices 1984-1989
Worked within the well services and sub sea workshops, supervising and controlling all well completion/sub sea material logistics and also the shipping and transport requirements for both departments.
Supervised the day-to-day running, purchase and stock control of a satellite store, holding spares and consumables for both workshops, in preparation of wire line operations and sub sea completions and machine maintenance.
A sound knowledge of requirements and preparation of customs documentation for continental shelf/inward process relief and free circulation material whilst liaising with Shell forwarding agents on a regular basis.

Trainee Quantity Surveyor/Cost Engineer 1981-1984
Latterly responsible for the Brent Field post production contract reporting directly to the commercial manager, mainly on the day to day running of the contract and progress of valuation submissions.
