I offer myself as a skillful and versatile engineer and as a reliable and friendly employee, being enthusiastic and hardworking, giving 100% in all aspects of work that I undertake. I see myself as being pro-active and competent within the job I currently do and am confident I can transfer this to any given role or environment. The nature of my current role highlights my ability to work as a competent and efficient team player or alone as a confident, positive individual. I currently work on a rota of four weeks on and four weeks off, so the chance to continue this aspect will not be an issue just an opportunity to broaden my horizons. I am looking to challenge myself further into another area of work and think I would be suited in both my employment background and experience to offshore working.

1995-Present 3rd Engineering Officer, Boston Putford Offshore Supply
As part of the Merchant Navy, I am presently sailing on a support and supply ship carrying cargo to offshore installations throughout the North Sea. My current role is being responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all ships machinery and electrical systems whilst successfully identifying and rectifying any occurring mechanical or electrical problems that should arise.


1995-1995 Trainee Mechanic/MOT Assistant, Hillbrook Comercials
Worked with qualified mechanics in all aspects of motor, heavy goods and commercial vehicle testing, servicing and repairs.


1994-1995 Cleaner, Mitie Cleaning
Part-time/occasional work. General cleaning duties of school grounds and classrooms.

1995-1998 HNC Engineering, South Tyneside College, South Shields.-subjects icluded-mechanical technology, naval architecture, marine power plant, industrial studies, electro-technology control engineering, marine electronics, mathematics and computers
Whilst gaining my engineering certificate of competency additional skills learnt included over 900 hours of workshop experience which consisted of CNC machinery, electrical systems as well as mechanical and control systems.

1987-1993 GCSE’s (6 grade D and above), Heles School, Plymouth.

As part of my current role many courses have had to be gained and upgraded throughout employment, I have gained MCA first aid certificate and basic medical aid certificate, MCA four day fire fighting certificate and Certificate of proficiency in survival craft and rescue boats although these are compulsory to my present employment it highlights my continued commitment to gain further knowledge and training to increase my individual potential.

INTERESTS
Sport-Playing and watching football and occasionally basketball also I try to swim on a regular basis. I also enjoy keeping fit and visit the gym on a regular basis.
Reading- Enjoy crime/thriller books especially those by James Patterson and Peter Robinson.
Socialising- Enjoy dining out at restaurants with family and friends as well as meeting new people.
I can also offer a full driving licence, which I have held since the age of seventeen.
