INSPECTION ENGINEER
Working as an Inspection Engineer in EMIRATES TECHNO CASTINGS SHARJAH UAE from jan2004 to till date
Responsibilities:
1. To carryout detailed study of customers purchase order requirements and assist planning in generation of works order to meet customer expectations.
2. To develop review and maintain detailed work instruction for the production activities to maintain quality of production and arrange display of instructions and train individual operators to follow work instruction.
3. To develop quality plans for specific orders / items in close co-ordination with development department and design check & hold points to monitor and control quality of production.
4. To carry out daily process control and record observations.
5. To maintain and update quality manual and quality systems and issue revised control copies.
6. To conduct daily, weekly and monthly quality review meetings and decide on rejection and rework and corrective actions to maintain record of quality meetings.
7. To raise NCRS and close NCRS and reply to customers.
8. To carryout quality audits on a fixed schedule and review quality system and works instructions to overcome quality problems.
9. To maintain records of rejections and rework specification wise, itemwise, customerwise, defectwise, analyse and take corrective measures in close co-ordination with all concerned departments. Create statistical records.
10. To carry out all NDT as per requirements of purchase order.
11. To carry out dimensional and visual inspection of castings and prepare despatch advice and shipping documents required.
12. To prepare and carry out audit inspection on castings.
13. To meet all requirements spelled out in quality manual such as :
- Enquiry / Order review
- Vendor analysis for materials
- Statistical analysis of quality
- Quality audits
- Identify training needs to improve quality
- Equipment calibrations
- Quality records
- Management review of quality system
- Raw material quality – etc.,
14. To develop and maintain qualification records for technicians (e.g. NDT, welding etc) by co-ordinating all activities involved.
15. Control of special process such as heat treatment & welding in accordance with requirements of ISO 9001-2000.
16. Co-ordination with external Inspection agencies, and generate detailed inspection reports. (LR , ABS, DNV, TUV & BVQI )
17. Continuous on the Job training and education of work force in Quality system by good communications.
18. To act as a link between customer and the shop floor and educate shop floor personnel on the customer needs.

. # INSPECTION ENGINEER
Working as an Inspection Engineer in Subhadra alloys Pvt Ltd., Pudukkottai, (IBR Steel Foundry with 3mt Induction furnace) from Jan 95 to Dec 2003.
Responsibilities:
• Carry out dimensional Inspection for new sample castings and audit check dimensions for finished castings as per day schedule.
• Measuring wall thickness in critical area by ultrasonic Inspection .
• Conduct mechanical tests (Tensile test, Bend test, Rockwell hardness test, Impact test.) and submit test reports for every heat.
• Provide technical support to mechanical design moulds/ Manufacturing operations.
• Melt charge calculation for alloy steel and carbon steel.
• Welding specification for steel grade.
• Integrating operational excellence in product and development.
• Work with guide a set of design professionals to launch new products.
• Heat treatment techniques for steel.
• Liaise and obtain technical clearance from customers and final inspection and quality control record work and submit documents.

# QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR:
Worked as “Quality Control Inspector ” in Lakshmi Foundry (Pvt) Ltd., Pudukkottai from Nov – 1992 – Dec 1994.
Responsibilities:
• Develop various tool and die suitable for die casting, prepare detail sectional drawings, die machining drawing, die cavity drawing and die block marking.
• To assist in developing tool and die for automobile parts, ELBOW, FRONT COVER, HEAT EXCHANGER etc.,
• Ensure the suitability of the die for Dimensional accuracy, finish and modification / Rectification to the die during process, and commercial production.
• Attend to the periodical rectification / repair of die during commercial production end, as and when necessary. Carry out process inspection in tool room.
• Assist Machinery division for finalisation and placement orders for die manufacturer with local / out station tool room.
• Submit sample castings to client and get dimensional clearance, for die and castings.
• Attend to all other assignment as when entrusted by the manager tool room.
