During this time I have been working as an apprentice in instrumentation. I have gained a working knowledge of this role on various sites gaining practical experience. Working on various plants including Aromatics, Olefins and Paraxylene, pick up various instrument skills including fault finding, construction and trip testing major plant equipment due to the age of these plants I have worked on pneumatic control loops, up to modern day electronic systems. I have knowledge of DCS delta V system which I used during trip testing; also I have worked closely with a TOC analyser system. While at Sabic I was a BSafe plant health and safety observer. I am also permit acceptor for the full Sabic site. I have attended regular SHE days for the past two years.
