I have recently graduated from the Mechanical Engineering Technology program, through the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT), which I completed last April; therefore I am seeking a full time position with your firm/organization.

I have excellent communication skills, I am able to work well both alone and with others, admire organization, and enjoy working hard. I have experience working both in the field positions and in an office environment, leaving me able to adapt to many work environments.

My training as a Mechanical Engineering Technologist at NAIT equipped me with a wide range of engineering skills, which I am very interested in putting to use. These skills in conjunction with my understanding of oil well drilling and oil field operations, will make me a very versatile asset to your organization.

Nabors Drilling – Present
-Worked as a Motor Man/Floor Hand
-Duties include maintenance of entire drilling rig and lease, drill pipe connections, Pipe handling, Oil changing, ect.
-Play a key role in the set up and tear town of drilling rigs and their movement from location to location
-Furthered my proficient understanding of oil well drilling and servicing operations
-Gained valuable leadership and organizational skills working with and leading other crew members

Trailblazer Drilling – Fall 2007
-Hired as a Roughneck/Floor Hand
-Duties include assisting in maintenance and cleaning of drilling rig and lease, drill pipe connections, and tripping in and out of the hole
-Participated in the set up and tear town of drilling rigs and their movement from location to location
-Gained basic knowledge of coil tube drilling operations

Halliburton-Sperry Sun Drilling Services – Spring to Fall 2007
-Hired as Technologist/Technician involved in the complex manufacturing of down hole drilling equipment
-Was involved with the final testing and approval of down hole tools before being shipped to the field
-The manufacturing of such equipment at Sperry Sun such as Jars, Mud motors, and Directional Drilling Equipment has helped further my understanding of oil well drilling and mechanical operations

-Duties include assisting in the assessment of light to heavy oilfield structures and operations for tax evaluation purposes
-Gained organizational skills through the Careful documentation of all gathered data for later evaluation
