I have learned from Oil Offshore Marine that you are looking for a Marine Safety Officer. I am interested in applying for the post as I believe my experience and being a licensed chemical engineer is suitable for the vacancy and I will be able to contribute to the HSE Team.
I have been involved in various projects in the Middle East and Southeast Asia in the Oil and Gas and Petrochemical Industry. I managed a team of HSE officers during a shutdown project in RasGas and Qatar Fertilizer Company for their annual shutdown activities. I have held a position of Safety and Pollution Control Officer during the Shell Philippines Asset Closure and Environmental Clean Up project. I am knowledgeable on ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 during my participation in third party audits and certifications of my previous companies. I have administrative experience as an assistant manager dealing with clients, auditors, organizing, coordinating and implementing safety and environmental projects/events in compliance to local and international legislations. I can prepare and monitor budget and make the necessary reports. I am an accredited Safety Practitioner (NEBOSH equivalent) and Environmental Officer by the different authorities of the Philippine Government and I am in possession of a valid survival certificate from my post in Qatar.
I plan to contribute my skills and knowledge in the area of Health, Safety, Environment Management System implementation, general orientation and specialized training. Further, I will promote safety awareness and conduct audits, inspection, spot checks and HSE walk around on a daily basis or as required. Coordinate and follow up all HSE matters and close out these items. I can also lead or assist in the incident and accident investigation, prepare reports, provide and communicate best safety practices to the crew for continual improvement. I am also knowledgeable in H2S, Confined Space Entry, Fire Fighting and Fire Science and Permit to Work.
