I am writing in application for employment with your company. As you will see from my curriculum vitae, I am a time served, self employed joiner at the present. However I am keen to follow a career in the offshore industry as part of your deck crew or maintenance team. I have 10 years experience of working on construction sites and I am familiar with job safety assessments, various work permits and method statements. Upon the successful completion of my apprenticeship I became self employed to gain a more rounded experience of the joinery industry. I project managed several renovation projects including Barn conversions from the conception to completion and hand over to the client. During my time as a self employed joiner I have employed and worked with a small team of general labourers and builders and have gained excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
