26 years old and from newcastle. im interested in employment offshore as a chef. since leaving school i worked in various kitchens and restaurants but decided to try catering in the army. while in the army i have been on numerous exerices all over the world even doing a 6 month tour of iraq which i am proud of. now im about to leave the army i think my skills would be suited working on a oil rig rather than in a small kitchen as im used to feeding between 500 and 1500 hungry soldiers each meal time.

i first started cooking in a big restaurant as a apprentice chef. i then worked in 2 other restaurants before i got offered a job in a factory in the canteen as head chef. it was a impossible offer to turn down as i wanted to be in charge and see if i could cope on my own. after 5 years working there i decided to join the army as a chef for a bit more excitement. im currently still in but am due to leave soon after completing 4 years and completing a 6 month tour of iraq.

i left school with 10 GCSES ranging from A to E grades. since then i have gained an NVQ in butchery, a NVQ level 1,2 and 3 in catering and have various first aid courses.
