Duties and Responsibilities

Leading a team of Welding & QC Inspector, Job involves evaluation of results of NDT and Visual examinations to Monitor Corrosion in Service Piping, Vessels, Tanks and offshore structure. Duties include ensuring quality control of new fabrication associated with revamp/shutdowns regular maintenance of Piping.

Worked for new pipeline and associated station piping, tank repairs, major pipeline repairs and hot tapping on live lines. Inspection of production and processing facilities during routine maintenance and shut downs, investigate causes and type of failures and suggest remedial measures. Work also involves review scope of work and check the requirements of welding processes, procedures and extent of inspection, review of NDT reports, witnessing procedure and welder qualifications, witness all hold points and acceptance to relevant codes, witness hydro test activities.

For in-house projects work involved preparing welding procedure specifications and procedure qualifications, Carry out welder qualifications and procedure qualifications, preparation of inspection and test plans and coordinating with third party for release of hold and witness points. Review of NDT reports and suggest remedial action to be taken, inspection of test reports and compilation of Quality Dossiers. And all required assistance as requested by the field operations for normal maintenance works.
