Position: Commissioning Engineer for Flue gas desulphuration plant Unit 1
TPP Maritsa East 2 is a condensing thermal power plant burning low calorific lignite
coal mined in the East Maritsa basin. This plant has 8 units, the total installed capacity of the power plants has reached 1465 MW.
Employed as Commissioning Engineer for Flue gas desulphuration plant (FGD) Unit 1, with Ishikawajima-Harima Heavy Industries Co., Ltd ( manufacturer of FGD), and Mitsui & Co, Ltd. the main contractor for rehabilitation project implementation in TPP Maritsa East 2.
Writing Single Trial Run Procedures for: Oxidation Air Fan, Absorber Bleed Pump, Absorber Area Sump Pump, Absorber Slurry Recirculation Pump, Gypsum Slurry Storage Tank Agitator, etc.
Preparing and Commissioning Make-Up boost pumps(EBARA 250X200 IFWM5028), Make-Up water storage pumps(EBARA 200X150 IFWM5028), Limestone Slurry Pumps(Weir Warman LTD 6/4 D-AH) , Compressors BOGE SO-125 A, etc.
Measuring parameters during commissioning: temperatures, vibrations, speed and pressures.

Rudeshur simple cycle gas turbine Power Plant, phase I, comprise 3 units of Siemens V94.3A gas turbines, each with a capacity 250 MW, Fuel Oil (Forwarding, Unloading, Storage tanks System), Gas Station, Fire Fighting, Water Treatment, & EBOP Systems, etc.
Employed as DCS & Field operator with “Unit International SA” for “Arian Mah-Taab Gostar Co” performed pre-commissioning and commissioning, normal start up, normal function, normal shut down, protection tests of Siemens Gas Turbine V94.3A x 3Units (250MW each) and Auxiliary Systems belonging Power Plan such as Fuel Oil Storage Tanks 15.000m3 capacity x 3Units; Heating System (“Loos International”-Boilers); Fuel Oil Unloading System (Allweiler Pumps); Fuel Oil Forwarding System; Fuel Gas System (Pietro Fiorentini manufacturer); Ignition Gas System (Liquid Propane Gas); Demineralized Water System (Reverse Osmosis for Demi/Potable Water by” WTC-Macro Water Treatment Corporation”); Air Compressed System (Atlas Copco); Fire Fighting System(Diesel Pump Caterpillar/Patterson - Main Pump); Diesel Generator System (Caterpillar).
Employed as a DCS board & field operator my duties including also monitoring and operating for all systems described above, DCS used Siemens-Teleperm XP- OM 650.

KPC Complex ‘Steam & Power Generation Plant’

Position: Control Room Operator
The KPC Steam Generation, comprise power generation (one back-pressure turbine, 10,7 MW, type DG 063/050, manufacturer MAN Turbomachinen AG GHH Borsig), steam boilers (4 boilers, type “TITAN M”, of 115 tones/hour working at 41 bar and 400 deg. Celsius, using gas, Manufacturer MACCHI SPA), deaerators, desuperheaters, BFW pumps, steam condensate recovery system, fuel distribution (gas and diesel), chemical storage and injection, compressed gases (air and nitrogen), produced water treatment (sand filters, reverse osmosis, degassing towers, mixed beds) and disposal, potable and industrial water system.
Working as DCS & Turbolog Operations, Control Panels Technician, on boilers, turbine, steam distribution, steam condensate recovery system, produced water treatment (sand filters, reverse osmosis, mixed beds, that prepare demineralized water required for boilers and area process), industrial water system.
Normal operation activity, and, start-up/shutdown, boilers, turbine, steam condensate recovery system, water treatment system (sand filters, reverse osmosis, functioning and regeneration mixed beds), chemicals dosing system, others auxiliary equipment of power plant, etc.
Taking appropriate measures, through DCS & Turbolog Control Room, Control Panels, to adjust operating data and correct any deviation for an optimum operation of the process (malfunctioning of BMS, BCS boilers, all others controllers, reverse osmosis, functioning and regeneration mixed beds, desuperheaters and deaerators, steam condensate recovery system, others auxiliary equipment of power plant, etc)
All the maneuvers carried out during the shift were reported to the shift supervisor and were recorded in the daily report.
Performing duties in a strict observance of the HSE and Fire Fighting rules and regulations.

Zalau Electric Power Plant - Romania
1998 - 2005
Position: Technical Supervisor
The power plant is endowed with 4 boilers of 120 tones/hour working at 100 bar and 540 deg. Celsius, using coal and heavy fuel, also 3 water boilers functioning with coal and heavy fuel, 1 boiler of 105 tones/hour, 2 turbines type CKTR of 12 MW, water treatment station, fuel farm, coal storage facilities, auxiliary installations.
Responsible for issuing the technical regulations book for main equipment, analyzing the exploitation activities, signaling incidents and damages and taking appropriate measures to correct any malfunctioning. Elaborating the thermal and electric balance calculations for main equipment, using Excel program.
Acting as Company Representative in relation to ANRE (Romanian Energy Regulatory Authority). Elaborating the documentation necessary for the obtaining of operation licenses for following activities: production, transport, supply and distribution of thermal energy, supply and distribution of electric energy. Issuing periodical updated reports concerning prices of electric and thermal energy, implementing the new legislation in the field and the regulations imposed by ANRE (Romanian Energy Regulatory Authority).

Tulcea Alumina Works - Romania
1989 - 1997
Position: Electric Power Plant, Shift Supervisor
Coordinating and participating effectively in the normal operation and exploitation of the power plant. Ensuring the proper functioning of main equipment for the producing of electric and thermal energy, also of the auxiliary equipment: 3 boilers of 120 tones/hour working at 100 bar and 540 deg. Celsius, 1 boiler of 105 tones/hour working at 17 bar and 250 deg.
