I named above, age 35, is interested in applying for position above. Armed with nearly 6 years of experience at sea sailing on foreign going vessels and about 7 years plus experience ashore I believe I could undertake the task advertised.

As you can see from my attached resume I have a lot of exposure in the technical side on the tanker vessels as an engineer onboard and ashore as a Technical Superintendent and now as a Technical Manager all the way from the bottom to the top.

During my years in service I been to various countries and dealt with various kinds of people from different walk of life and races. So I don't think I have any problems when it comes to dealing with people and I can speak various language such as English, Malay, Chinese and Cantonese.

I feel that I have gained enough experience at my current level and want to look at a different level now looking at better opportunities and remuneration elsewhere. I feel I can contribute well to your company advancement with my current experience. I like to learn news things and willing to go the extra mile to get a job done. If the jobs required relocation I am willing to do so.

Job Description : Managing of containers, multi purpose carrier and bulk carriers to be in compliance with rules and regulations without any breakdown and detention as far as possible.
: Assist and guidance to technical superintendents on troubleshooting and solving of vessels technical issue in the best most practical and shortest time at the best interest and cost to owners.
: Vetting through and guidance to technical superintendents to prepare dry docking specification and send out tender to shipyards for quotation and comparison before submission to top management for approval
: Carry out negotiation of all shipyard and repairer bill at the best interest of owner
: Improve the system for better monitoring the performance and maintenance of the vessel
: Advice top management regards to the problem and corrective actions to be taken when vessel in distress and having some major problems and assist technical superintendents to solve the problems.

: Vetting through vessel spares and stores requisition for final approval and supply taking into consideration the cost and urgency
: Troubleshooting and solving of vessels technical issue in the best most practical and shortest time at the best interest and cost to owners
: Prepare dry docking specification and send out tender to shipyards for quotation and comparison. Final negotiation and recommendation to top management for most feasible shipyards for carrying out repair. In charge of dry docking and coordinating the dry dock of vessel.
: Planning and executing all dry docks jobs coordinating the ship crews and shipyard and together liaising with surveyors to carry out all required repairs of vessel in shipyard.
: Carry out negotiation of all shipyard and repairer bill at the best interest of owner
: Arrange class surveys and monitor vessel class surveys and recommendations
: Carrying out vessel inspection to ensure vessel crews and officers are carrying out their responsibility in the best interest of owners
: Monitor the maintenance of vessel machineries, equipment and hull
: Carry out and coordinating repair on vessel due to damage or collision either on machineries, equipments and hull. This include sourcing quotation for contractors and repairer and confirmation of the jobs to them at the most cost saving at the best interest of owners
: Implement and monitor ISM is effectively executed and vessel is implementing it effectively onboard
: Monitor and assess the performance of officers and crews onboard and provide report to crew department

Achievements : Have brought up vessels both 4 stroke and 2 stroke engine which is performing under performing in speed after carry out in depth research and make vessel perform to their optimum speed after some adjustment and repairs
: Carried out dry dock of various old vessel ranging from 20+ years old with a lot of structure problems, steel renewal, machineries problems successfully performed individually with much effort and own time put in.
: Rebuilt back a 4 stroke engine completely from scrap, supervising and making critical and painful decision. After that carry out commissioning and sea trial of vessel
: Successfully negotiated some of the best contract for company better than some senior to carry out dry docking repairs of vessels
: Successfully carry out individually dry docking of vessels and solving each and every problems that comes along in various countries ranging from China, Singapore, Indonesia and Vietnam
