1. Summary (Cover Letter) - CV/Resume Part 1 [Mandatory]
My name is Kees Mooij and at the moment I am working as a rig mechanic on a jackup for Noble Drilling.
I started my career on general cargo ships as an Ab/motorman. After two years of sailing I went to a Maritime College in The Netherlands and completed as Maritime Officer.
After my school I went on sailing as a First Officer for two more years. Because I liked the technical side of the education more than the nautical I found a job as rig mechanic on an accommodation platform in the North sea.
After three years I decided to move on to learn working with other systems. I worked one year for an Dutch agency on General cargo ships as 2th engineer, an pipe laying vessel as mechanic and for North sea ferries as 3th engineer.
Than there came the opportunity to work for Noble drilling as rig mechanic. Now after two years I like to move on again and work with other systems and other people to learn more. I am allso interested in a job as ass. barge engineer/brage engineer, this because of my nautical background and because the job involves a lot of planning/leadership/technical knowledge and that suits me.
From the moment I started my career I have always been in a supervisor position with responsibilities and room for my own thoughts and decisions.
I like to lead a team and I find myself good in it as well.
On the rig I am working on now I have a team of two to lead, I do have to give responsibility to the chief mechanic, but I still have my own shift and have to make decisions when necessary.
I worked / am working with the following equipment.
Caterpillar engines D399, 3304,3306, 3516 3408
Iron rougneck ar3200
Mudpumps National 12p160
Cranes Huisman, National
