Dear Sir,

I am writing by e-mail to apply for the post of Assistant Hr Manager at your organization. The main reason for my application is I am seek for a permanent job.

Currently I am attached with Gamuda- Sinohydro-WCT Joint Venture under the Project Management of Bectell Incorporation as Sr. Human Resource Executive based at New Doha International Airport Project site at Doha, Qatar on contact till March 2008 . My current responsibilities compromise of executing human resource operation activities under the supervision of Human Resource Manager related to recruitment and selection, staff management, administration, accommodation management on an international scope compromising of 3500 staffs from various countries.

As enclosed at my career details, I have relatively more than 6 years of working experiences in the area of Human Resources Practices. During my earlier working years at EMC Management Centre for 3 year or more as Training Coordinator and Special Project Executive, my task includes general administration, basic human resources roles, training and coordination and marketing of training programs to meet corporate clientele needs.

Subsequently my attachment at Memory Tech Sdn. Bhd. for relatively 3 years, being in manufacturing and the leading optical disk production company with more than 850 staff working 2 shift day and night had help me to gain substantial working experiences in the field of Human Resource. My specialization were in the area of Recruitment and Selection, Manpower planning, Foreign worker management and Immigration matters, Disciplinary committee, Staff welfare, Employee industrial relation matter and Human resources information system (PEOPLE SOFT, QUICK PAY), Daily routine related to company operation activities via assisting the Human Resources Manager.

I have also undertaken a few in-house training related to Human Resources practices such as Employment Act 1955, Sarawak Labour Ordinance, Internal domestic inquiry training, Self leadership training continues improvement program and my Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Melbourne, Australia which I did part- time at Malaysia Institute of Management.

Being a member of Malaysian Institute of Management (MIM) and Association of Business Executive, UK (ABE) and current working in oversea (Doha, Qatar) had assist me to further developed my networking to tap new management practices and ideology especially in relation to Human Resources Management.

Based in New Doha International Airport(NDIA),
State of Doha, Qatar
(Employed status: contract till 31st March, 2009)

(27th September, 2006 till present)

• Project Value : 2.6 billion USD

• Designation : Sr. HR & Admin Executive ( Generalist)

• Duties : Reporting to Head of HRA Department, Departmental Heads and Project Director and HR Manager in HQ.

1) Recruitment and Selection- Recruitment for new entry level, lower and middle Management staff, liaison with recruitment agencies in Malaysia, Qatar, India, Philippines and other relevant agencies with the guide line from Head Office.

2) Liaison with Bectell Incorporation on approval for staff recruitment especially for management staff as part of their quality benchmark.

3) Coordinate with local Public Personal Officers regards to local government agencies such as banking, immigration matter and local authorities such as police and medical commission.

4) Transportation and driver management- there are 72 drivers and 223 vehicle. To ensure driver salary is paid, the vehicle is maintained, coordinate with local agents regards to hiring of new drivers and maintain drivers working ethics. Liaison with local authory regards to vehicle inspection, permit renewal ( istimara) and purchasing of new vehicle.

5) Accommodation Management- source for new accommodation by coordinating with local real estate agent, ensure apartments are well maintained and taken care, payment of rents, electricity and water. There is 31 apartment and 3 villas with 9 rooms. (accommodate 300 management staffs).

6) Liaison with the security manager to ensure proper coordination of staff assignment to camp through staff vetting, ensure local immigration policies are complied such as letter from sponsors, local work permit (iqama) and visa approval.

7) Manage employee relation issues such as handling of staff grievance, disciplinary (e.i. evaluate and make proposal for disciplinary action to be taken, issuing of warning letters, conduct D.I and termination). ensure staff welfare is well taken care according to the company policies and procedure.

8) Manpower planning on new arrival according to nationality, resigning and departmental cost centre planning for work force

9) Develop company policy and procedure for Gamuda NDIA Staff – Develop staff policy and procedure with the guidance of Site HR Manager and Project Director for Gamuda NDIA Site staff. Liaison with HQ staff to streamline on the NDIA site policy and Group Gamuda policy to ensure key procedure are align.

10) Implementation of work procedure with compliance to quality management system of ISO 9001:2002 for administration department and hr department for example work procedure for hiring new vehicle, staff recruitment and arrivals.

11) Ensure monthly departmental costing report on driver expenses, vehicle expenses, recruitment expenses and site operation expanses are captures and tabulate for management reports.

12) Training – to maintain and coordinate proper training schedule for NDIA Staff via coordination with Gamuda Leaning Centre by identifying staff whom require training enhancement by conducting Training Need Analysis, arrangement for training facilities and identify local tutorial for staff training. Ensure proper training evaluation, appraisal and standards complied according to ISO 9001:2002.

13) Staff Orientation – Develop the Orientation Module for NDIA and introduction kit for Project with the assistance of Gamuda Learning Centre and NDIA Site Manager. Coordinate with main contractor Bechtel Incorporation for site safety induction and internal safety induction. Conduct induction program for newly arrived staff and ensure all staff is quipped with safety kids and company code conduct and start up kits.

Total Staff under supervision : (2 HR Executive , 1 HR Coordinator and 2 Store Clerks.


1) EMPLOYMENT HISTORY :

1) Company : Memory Tech Sdn Bhd, (Megan Group of Companies) (1st June 2003 till 15 September, 2006 )

• Nature of Business : Memory Tech is a subsidy of Megan Group is the leading Optical Disk Production Company In Malaysia. Their core business is in the blank Media Manufacturing especially for OEM Brand of Companies

• Designation : HR Executive – Specialize in Recruitment and Workforce Management

• Duties : Reporting to Hr Manager, Vice President of Manufacturing and Chief Operation Officer

1) Workforce Management and Manpower Planning – Preparation of monthly report on workforce based on department wise, new recruits, resignation and return on investment of workforce based on the duration of working period, performance appraisal by the immediate supervisor and departmental head by using People Soft and Quick Pay.

2) Analysis the need for new recruitment by doing departmental surveys and manpower requirement by measuring productivity versus key performance indicator via department.

3) Prepare monthly report on the cost of recruitment and return of recruitment investment by taking into account time frame of interviews, location, staff involves and their per-day paid salary, estimate cost of the new or replacement staff.

4) Liaison with local media, recruitment agents, universities and instuition to source for potential staff and also involve in real time recruitment for operators in Indonesian ( 200 to 300 per day) and china.

5) Experience in interviewing staff up to junior engineer and senior executive with the present of Hr manager for 1st and 2nd level screening and doing bulk interviewing for operator in Indonesia and China for production side.

6) Involve in after recruitment process such prepare of employment letter and proposal for salary ( till senior executive and junior engineer) by using modified salary scheme of Motorola salary structure and staff screening from reference, previous employer, EPF and police.

7) Liaison with KDN and Immigration for foreign staff recruitment such as visa approval, work permits (coordinate with agents), stamp duties and gate duties.

8) Taking Care of staff well fare such as source for staff accommodation, purchases of utensils and utilities, transportation arrangement with agents

9) Member of the disciplinary investigation and hearing committee for D.I cases with HR Manager. Involve in process of investigation, issuing of warning letter, show course letter, interpretation of labour law on disciplinary matter.

10) Assist the Training Manager in Training coordination, source for new trainer and consultant, prepare training module and materials, training appraisal and conduct training need analysis as to requirement of department head.

11) Staff Orientation which involve induction, introduction to company policies and procures, introduce to working mates and department heads and key personal, safety induction and HR induction.

12) Manage company transportation which includes maintenance, travel lock and assignment of vehicle and petrol expense.

13) A member of safety committee

14) Assist the quality team to set up standard work flow chart, procedure and documentation based ISO 9001 documentation process.

15) General Administration such preparation of letter, taking meeting minute for weekly HR meeting

16) Involve in promoting CDs and VCD in yearly company sales promotion bouts in shopping malls for Memory Brand (Marketing).
