CV/Resume Details
1. Summary (Cover Letter) - CV/Resume Part 1 [Mandatory]

In 2005 I qualified as an advanced life support paramedic in Durban South Africa. Since then I have gained more than 6 years experience working on the road in South Africa, treating all sorts of emergencies.

My qualification enables me to work independently as a rescue technician and paramedic, performing functions such as intubation, ventilation, surgical airway management, intravenous therapy, bleeding control, drugs (eg morphine, midazolam, epinephrine etc). I have been fortunate to treat patients with very diverse injuries and illnesses, some examples of these are: trauma resulting from motor vehicle accidents, falls, accidents on duty, sports injuries, gunshot and assault injuries, fractures, bleeding, burns etc. I also have experience with medical emergencies such as myocardial infarctions, strokes, maternity and childbirth etc.

Some of these experiences have been gained while working on the Netcare911 aero medical helicopter service in Durban, where I worked for a year on a shift basis with other paramedics in the area. I have international experience as a paramedic working for International SOS in Madagascar, where I managed a clinic on a large construction site. I was responsible for all primary health care, as well as any emergencies, both during and after hours. I was also the rescue coordinator for ISOS, and was responsible for creating rescue drills and awareness, and covering emergencies such as fire, rope, high angle, confined space and extrication with the Jaws of Life. I am currently working as a health and safety officer for Kentz engineers and constructors in Madagascar, as I wanted to expand my experiences within my field, and learn more about international HSE regulations.

I hope that my experience and qualifications meet your standards, and that you will consider me for a position within your company.
