1. Summary (Cover Letter) - CV/Resume Part 1 [Mandatory]
I am currently attending a Basic DP Course at Kongsberg.
Please let me introduce myself. I have been residing in Trinidad and Tobago (Caribbean) for 4 1/2 years, since my wife is from there. I have been told by people in the industry that this is a very good location, since this means that I actually live close to where a lot of the work in the Offshore industry is taking place.
I have been employed by Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines since August 2003 and I am currently serving as Chief officer. Prior to that I was on container vessels and in the Icelandic Coast Guard.
I am very interested of switching job venues from the Cruise- to the Offshore industry. I have a very good navigational knowledge and experience and hold an Unlimited Master's License.
I then plan to attend the Advanced DP course at the earliest opportunity.
If required, I could be available with a very short notice.

2. Work Experience - CV/Resume Part 2 [Mandatory]
2003 – Present: Working as Bridge Officer for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. I have been a Chief Officer since January 2007. I have as such been detached to the New building department, overseeing Safety on a project taking place within the company.
2000 – 2003: Worked as Bridge Officer for Eimskip Ltd. (container vessels).
1994 – 1999: Worked for the Icelandic Coast Guard as Bridge Officer, this includes being Captain on a Hydrographic vessel and serving as Chief Officer on various vessels.
1992 – 1993: 3rd Officer at the Icelandic Coast Guard.
1987 – 1989: AB at the Icelandic Coast Guard.
While I attended Navigational College, I was working onboard Coast Guard ships on school breaks.
I have relieved as Chief Officer on the MF. Panorama (Ro-Ro) for a total of 2 – 3 months.
I have also worked on various fishing vessels.

1994: Completed the 4th year at the College of Navigation, Reykjavik Iceland. This is mainly held for Officers of the Icelandic Coast Guard.
