Responsibilities:

• Charged with understanding the processes and architecture of the Admin Support Environment, and fine-tuning the day-to-day performance that forms the backbone of the organization's Functional systems.

• Daily Responsibilities as Office Manager ensuring and maintaining the smooth day-to-day running of the office giving Admin Support to all five Area Offices and their sub-detachments.

• Regularly utilized as Regional Secretary, standing in as the secretary of the Officer Commanding during leave periods of appointed secretary as well as the coordination of guest house bookings of the Regional Guest House, ensuring no double bookings were made.

• Utilized as Personal Assistant to the 2nd in Charge of the Region, assisting him with all duties delegated to him by the Officer Commanding.

• Project Management involving projects such as Performance assessments, Incentive Bonuses, Study at State Expense ensuring correctness of information and consolidation of the process ensuring an end product of the highest standards.

• Involved in Administration Management responsible for the managing of all unit members leave and course administration.

• Formulating Correspondence in cooperation with immediate superior, addressing enquiries by either higher HQ or Area Offices. Duties also included the Typing and Filing of incoming and outgoing correspondence.

• Conducted Evaluations of the Crime Administration System at area office level giving feedback to higher HQ ensuring optimum performance and correctness of information captured on the system thereby ensuring correct analysis of information.

• Daily monitoring of the Crime Admin Computer System informing the Officer Commanding of all crime reported within the Region as well as submitting the Monthly Crime Return after consolidation, gathered from information submitted by the Area Offices.

• Submitting monthly data of performance parameters (statistics) to upper management ensuring proper budgeting of commodities.

• Conducting weekly and monthly preventive maintenance checks and follow-ups of automated production equipment (Fax and Photostat machines) to avoid unscheduled production stoppages.

• Provide feedback to immediate superior of possible anomalies or tasks seeking urgent attention, taking immediate corrective measures if required.

• Managing the Subsistence and Travel Allowance of the Region issuing Advances and completing Counter Claims for all members travelling on official duties. Responsibilities included making all travel arrangements via either bus or air and ensuring all accommodation arrangements had been finalized.

• Formulating, monitoring, supervising and ensuring that Regional Name lists of over 300 members were kept up to date according to race, sex, post incumbent, promotion dates etc, incorporating changes such as appointments during staffing boards, natural attritions or resignations.

• Transport Authorization Management: Compiling trip authorities for the section’s vehicles ensuring that transport is available on a daily basis. Responsibilities also included the first parades on vehicles as well as adhering to the service plans.

• Events Planning: Assisted with the Decor Planning and managing of unit functions and events.

• Involved with the in-post training of sub-ordinates as well as assisted in training members of the Crime Admin System (CAS).

• Acknowledged to have played a pivotal role in the transition process from WP Command to the Southern Military Police Region.
• Developed the Regional Database wrt personnel information and posts.
