Position Maintenance Planner
(Asset Management Officer)
Main Duties and Responsibilities Planned Maintenance:

In conjunction with the Chief Engineer create and review maintenance plans (annual, monthly, weekly) by updating and reviewing changes in order to optimize the utilization of the engineering resources.
Identify and plan work to be completed during shutdown (shutdown planning, scheduling and export to Microsoft Project).
In conjunction with the Chief Engineer carry out job loading for all maintenance personnel on board ship.
Analyse trends, failures and costs by gathering information e.g. breakdown analysis.
Ensure that oil samples are correctly taken and labelled before being dispatched for analysis and also ensure problem areas are dealt with immediately.
Ensure that equipment registers and technical specifications are accurate and up to date by conducting regular checks.
Ensure equipment is correctly labelled and tagged with the correct SAP equipment number and that all technical information is captured in SAP.

Administration:

Maintaining of on board library i.e. equipment drawings and technical information including correspondence.
Compile reports on equipment as required by the Unit Manager.
Prepare month end reports e.g. availability figures.
Capture equipment hour readings in SAP, generate, release and issue job cards to all departments.
Assist the Chief Engineer in compiling the vessel budget by identifying high cost areas and providing information for budgeting.

Additional Responsibilities:

Oversee the on board material store.
Manage three subordinates: Vessel Material Controller and two Store Men.
Order and follow up on equipment/spares ordered.
Tracking of spares sent ashore for repairs.
Ensure availability of spares for maintenance tasks.
