I am currently employed as HSE/Security Manager for a large port company serving the offshore industry. I am in charge of the safety needs of 250+employees. My role as Safety manager consists of, implementing new safety programmes and maintaining existing company policies and procedures. Identification of hazards and associated risks and the implementation of appropriate control measures.
I am the onsite and in class trainer for all safety related topics. All security issues are dealt with by me and I am currently the company ISPS officer. I am the Project Logistics Manager for Chevron ensuring all import/export and transit cargos are expedited in a timely manner. I have materials logistics experience in the oil and gas sector working with Exxonmobil in Equatorial Guinea.
I am looking for a new direction in my career and have no problem working away from home. I am a licensed Master with 21 years seagoing experience, 10 years experience on AHTS vessels in the oil and gas sector. I also have 10 years total experience in HSE with later years gaining experience in the field of logistics. I am currently waiting to complete exams for the Nebosh National Diploma (degree) and will have this qualification by end of March 2009. I currently hold the Nebosh general certificate.
I work well on my own or as part of a team and have very good communication skills.
Computer skills include, lotus notes, word, excel, power point.
