Having self sponsored myself through the BOSIET course and medical and gained employment internationally for work experience proves my eagerness to learn and show my determination in learning new skills. I have worked with and know several people in the oil industry who are willing to provide employment and character references if called for. In the past I have travelled for employment and have been used to working long hours, 7 days a week. I am therefore a very hardworking person and am committed to my job.
I am experienced Chargehand, Banksman/Slinger and have gained experience working offshore in the biggest oilfield in the world and some of the largest civil construction sites in Europe. My proven track record shows that I am a multi skilled tradesman who has worked within a well-disciplined health and safety conscious environment. From what I gather, speaking to those in the industry, you are committed to serving your employees well and this fact has been instrumental in my driving force in following a career in a large organisation such as yourself. June 2007 to OCT 2007 Seaport Iran. Sub contracting for ENI IRAN
Position: Senior Deckhand
Project: South Pars 5 & 6 Platforms, Offshore, Persian Gulf
Details: Working as a Senior Deckhand during slickline well intervention operations, in which duties included rigging, slinging, banks man, storage maintenance of deck space, working supply boats when required. Good radio communication skills. Good liaison communication with senior staff on board. Followed ENI safety policies & procedures during all activities on board the platforms. Can work under own initiative & follow written lifting plans.
Projects: Heathrow Airport Terminal 3 & 5, Ascot Racecourse, Knowsthorpe Water Treatment Works
Details: Construction formwork of various walls, bases, and car park structures and ground services mainly within the terminal 5 project. This project mainly involved construction of pre-fabricated large concrete edge-beams procured by tower and mobile cranes. I was Chargehand for four employees whilst banking/slinging at the heart of Heathrow Terminal 3. I have also been involved in the formwork construction of 2 new road underpasses at Ascot racecourse. These projects involved working closely with design engineers on a highly prestigious project.
